Switch from traditional teaching to the newstyle is not easy but gradually, it will happen: Harpreet, B.S.A.I.T.M
These are first-hand student accounts on how our young population is managing to keep their exam prep or college course work going from the confines of their homes. In case you want to share your lockdown study experience, write to us at publish@shiksha.com.
As we all know how the whole world is on lockdown due to COVID-19, and one of the major sectors that got affected is the Education sector. Due to the lockdown, all schools, and colleges are closed which impacted the Education sector significantly. On the other hand, some of the schools and colleges have taken an initiative to make create a balance in the studies for students by conducting online sessions or training. They are also providing online notes to the students so that they do not feel much difference between the old style of teaching and online way of teaching.
As said earlier, the initiative of teaching through online method will be beneficial for the students. This is a new method adopted by many schools and colleges to conduct classes. In future, the old way of learning might be replaced by the advanced style of teaching. This implementation of switching from the old style of teaching to the new style is not easy for both students and teachers in initial days. But, gradually everyone would learn the process.
The online classrooms have always been a topic of discussion. Due to which, every college is adopting this new style of teaching.
In my opinion, the online classes are better for both students and teachers as the teachers would get a chance to learn a new style of teaching and on the other hand, the students would also get a chance to study in a different environment as compared to the old method.
During this period, our college and the staff members are putting up their hard efforts to provide quality teaching to the students.
Due to the online style of teaching, one question that comes in the mind is that whether the overall online education is sustainable. My answer to this question is ‘Yes’, however, initially it would be challenging for the students and teachers as they both have to leave the traditional method.
Also, to adopt online education and make it sustainable, the following changes or add-ons required.
- Firstly, the students and teachers have to change their approach towards adopting this online method to make it impactful in future.
- Secondly, students should take this style of teaching seriously to get good results. So, with the increase in the efficiency of this online learning, there is a chance to sustain this method of learning in our country.
