Candidates, after qualifying for CEETA PG, can get admission in the following universities and institutes -

• University Departments of Anna University, Chennai-25, Anna University Regional Campuses and University Colleges of Engineering. 

• Annamalai University and 

• Government & Government Aided Engineering Colleges 

• Technical Institutions funded by the Central Government affiliated with Anna University

• Candidates can also apply to the self-financing engineering colleges

CEETA PG stands for Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admissions for Postgraduate courses (CEETA PG), a two-hour state-level entrance examination conducted once a year. 

The CEETA PG examination is conducted once a year. The mode of the entrance examination is online. Candidates registered for the examination can appear for the CEETA PG entrance test.

To be eligible for CEETA PG (M.Arch) programs, candidates must have a bachelor's degree in architecture (B.Arch) with a minimum qualifying mark of 50% (for the general category) and 45% for the reserved category from a recognised university or institute. Besides that, candidates qualified as AIIA (Associateship Examination of the Indian Institute of Architects) with valid registration with the Council of Architecture are also eligible for CEETA PG admission.

Candidates applying for the CEETA PG must pay the application fees during the registration process. The accepted payment mode is net banking/credit card/debit card. The fees for the CEETA PG application form is as follows -

• For SC/ST/SCA of Tamil Nadu - INR 500
• For other applicants - INR 1000

CEETA application form is available online only. Candidates who meet eligibility condition can apply. Registrations will be done on official website. Application process of CEETA PG comprises registration, uploading documents, and fee payment.

There is negative marking in CEETA PG. For incorrect answers, the candidates will lose 1/3 mark. Marks will not be deducted for the questions left unanswered. Multiple shading will be considered as a wrong answer and a 1/3 mark will be reduced. Hence, candidates have to be very carefull while marking their answers. Since, CEETA PG has negative marking, students are advised to avoid guesswork and only answer the questions they are confident about.

The syllabus for CEETA PG typically covers subjects such as Engineering Mathematics, Basic Engineering & Sciences and topics from the field candidates have studied in the undergraduate programme. The detailed syllabus of CEET PG is updated on the official website. The candidates must check the complete syllabus before they start with the preparation.   

The exam duration of CEETA PG is two hours. The exam is conducted offline (OMR sheet). Candidates appearing for CEETA, must report to the centre one hour before the commencement of the examination. Answer sheet will be provided there itself.

To prepare for CEETA PG exam, candidates must go through the syllabus and pattern first. Then study relevant textbooks and solve CEETA PG old question paper to understand the difficulty level. Create revision notes and take most tests to get acquainted with the exam pattern. 

No, only a hard copy of the CEETA PG admit card is accepted for entering the exam hall. Candidates must carry all the items mentioned in the hall ticket. Candidates are advised to go through admit card and exam day instructions carefully. 

Candidates can check their CEETA PG test centre details on official website. However, the test centre details will be mentioned on on admit card of CEETA PG. To download, candidates have to provide their email ID and password.

Candidates can carry any of the following items along with the CEETA PG admit card -

Aadhaar card/Voter ID/PAN card/Passport, etc.  Candidates must make sure that they carry only the valid ID which they have mentioned while filling the CEETA PG application form. 

If lost, a duplicate can be obtained by paying 300/- through a Demand Draft, with a written request to The Secretary (TANCET/CEETA-PG), Anna University, Chennai – 600 025 indicating the Registration No. / Application number and Examination Centre. The CEETA hall ticket will be made available a few days before the exam date. 

Candidates can download CEETA PG admit card at tancet.annauniv.edu. To download, candidates have to enter their user ID and password. CEETA exam hall ticket will be available a week before exam.

Anna University will release CEETA result online on official website. Candidates who have appeared the CEETA PG exam can check their results. Credentials required to check result and rank are: application number, name, date of birth and email ID. 

CEETA PG counselling is conducted online. Only qualfied candidates of CEETA are eligible for counselling. CEAP is responsible for conducting CEETA PG counselling and comprises registration, document verification, choice filling, seat allotment, and reporting.

Candidates who have appeared and qualified for CEETA PG exam will be eligible for the CEETA PG counselling. These candidates need not apply for CEAP. Their admissions will be done through CEETA PG category, based on the scores obtained. Eligible candidates must register to participate in the counselling.
