No, direct admission to B.Tech is not available at SVUCE. However, with the Tech lateral entry program, eligible applicants get admission directly into the program's second year. This is because the eligible candidates already have the basic foundational knowledge of the subject from their prior relevant qualifications and so they can directly start studying in the second year of the B.Tech. The eligibility is:

1. The candidate should have passed a Diploma in Engineering or any equivalent course from a reputed University.
2. The candidates who are waiting for the results of the Diploma.

Yes, TNEA Counselling is required for BTech admission. candidates who have completed Class 12 with 50% each in Physics and Chemistry and 100% in Mathematics are eligible to apply for BTech and BE courses.
