Yes, IIT Kanpur also offers an option of a dual degree, i.e., Bachelors-Masters Dual Degree to the students. A student earns both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree at the end of this five-year course. The dual degree programme has three categories:

• Category A: In this case, both degrees are in the same discipline/department. Example: BTech-M Tech.
• Category B: This is a two-discipline/ department programme where the bachelor’s degree is in the parent discipline/ department and the master’s degree is in a different discipline/ department. Thus, three combinations are possible in this category, ex: BTech-M Tech, BTech-MS and BTech-MDes. Students can choose any one of the aforementioned combinations. 
• Category C: In this case, the bachelor’s degree is in the parent discipline/ department and the master’s degree is MBA. Ex: BTech-MBA.

There are a total of 420 seats for BTech programmes offered at Amity University, Noida. The seat allotment is done based on candidates performance in the last qualifying exam, i.e., Class 12. Galgotias University BTech courses are offered in lateral entry in academic year 2026. Some lateral entry BTech courses are also offered in part-time mode for working professionals. Candidates must pass a DVoc course or BSc course with a minimum duration of three years.

Yes, all BTech courses at GLBITM Greater Noida are open for lateral entry directly into second year. Candidates who have completed a Diploma in Engineering or a BSc with Mathematics as a subject are eligible for lateral entry in BTech courses. The seats are offered via UPTAC Counselling.
