The cutoff for B.Tech at Guru Kashi University (GKU) is based on the scores students score in the entrance examination JEE Mains & Advanced which is being conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Students are ranked based on these scores. The merit list is created based on these ranks or positions, consisting of students who have been selected for B.Tech admission.

Cut-offs for these merit lists differ from year to year and from caste to caste and the cut-off range differs for General, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwBd.
