IKGPTU, earlier known as Punjab Technical University was established under Act of the State Legislature in 1997. The university affiliates 120+ AICTE and 65 UGC-approved colleges. The university offers 25+ courses at its main campus. Candidates can go for the university as it offers a wide range of courses and practical knowledge to the students.
