Aspiring students are required to register on the official website of JMI and fill the application form online. In the form, fill all the details asked, upload the required documents and pay the application fee. BA, BSc and BVoc courses at JMI have also started accepting the scores of CUET UG. For the same, students need to register for the exam, appear for it and qualify it. Qualified students of CUET UG are required to register for JMI counselling after which merit lists will be released with the name of the shortlisted students. For the remaining courses, however, the university is still accepting national and university-level entrance exam for final selection.
As per the NIRF 2024 ranking under the “Engineering” category, IIIT Delhi ranks 85 among the top Engineering institutes of the country. The total fee for MTech in IIIT Delhi ranges between INR 3.7 lakh and INR 6 lakh. NIT Trichy MTech fee is INR 1.4 lakh. As per placement statistics, the median package is recorded to be INR 18.17 LPA for IIITD and INR 7 LPA for NIT Trichy. Hence, it can be concluded that the fee is higher at IIITD. It must be noted that the fee given for both institutes is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. But, this institute also has got a good ranking as per a recognised ranking body. Thus, if given a choice, IIIT Delhi is a better option than NIT Trichy.
