IPU CET 2026 Counselling: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University has postponed IPU BTech 2026 spot round 2 counselling process. The revised dates for the second round of IPU BTech 2026 spot counselling will be announced soon. The authorities will conduct IPU BTech spot round counselling (Round 2) as an offline process at the University campus. Candidates who registered but have 'Not Admitted' status will be eligible for the offline spot round.
During IPU counselling for spot round, candidates will have to report with their documents and a demand draft of the part-academic fee. Allotment of seats will be done based on candidates' merit rank, preferences and seat availability. For BTech admissions, GGSIPU does not conduct IPU CET, and admissions are done based on JEE Main scores. For BTech Lateral Entry and BTech Biotechnology admission, IPU CET ranks are considered. IPU CET 2026 Seat Allotment
IPU CET 2026 seat allotment result for spot round has been announced. To check seat allotment, candidates will have to go to the official website and log in with the required details. After the declaration of the seat allotment result, candidates have to freeze the seat in case they do not want to participate in further counselling rounds. If any candidate wants to back out, then they can go for withdrawal and fee refund. There will be a sliding option wherein candidates can apply for subsequent rounds of counselling,

IPU CET 2026 Document Verification
After confirmation of the seats, candidates have to go through the document verification process. The following documents are important at the time of IPU CET document verification.
- JEE Main result (For BTech admission)
- JEE Main admit card (For BTech admission)
- IPU CET mark sheet (BTech (BioTechnology), Lateral Entry to BTech Programmes for BSc Graduates, Lateral Entry to BTech Programmes for Diploma holders)
- Mark sheet & certificates of Class 10 and Class 12
- Caste category certificate (if applicable)
- Admission receipt

- Provisional allotment letter
- Conduct certificate attested by the Head of the last studies Institute.
IPU CET Counselling 2026 Process
IPU CET 2026 counselling registration for spot round has ended. Through online counselling, candidates are chosen for admission. Merit lists for admissions are prepared based on JEE Main scores for BTech courses, and CET ranks for BTech Lateral and Biotechnology courses. For counselling, candidates can follow steps given below.
- Payment of Counselling Fee: Once candidates are logged in, they will have to pay the IPU CET counselling registration fee through net banking/credit card/debit card. Offline payment can also be paid through challan at nearest branch of the mentioned bank.
- Counselling Registration: After fee is paid, candidates will have to log in and enter all required details. Candidates will also have to mention their name, roll number of IPU CET/JEE Main, date of birth and result status. Once registered, candidates will get their IPU CET login ID and password.
- Uploading of Documents: Candidates will have to upload all required documents according to official specifications. If the documents are not uploaded correctly, then their counselling registration will not be accepted.
- Choice Filling: Candidates can now choose their preferred course and institute. All choices have to be selected in order of preference. Selection has to be done carefully as it will be considered for allotment.
IPU CET 2026 Counselling Fee
Candidates must pay the IPU CET 2026 counselling fee to appear for the counselling process. The fee is only applicable for BTech candidates, who have not paid online application fee before during registration.
