IPU BTech 2027 Admission through JEE Main: Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University is expected to announce IPU BTech 2027 admission dates soon at ipu.admissions.nic.in. Eligible candidates will be able to register online for IPU BTech admissions into participating institutes. For GGSIPU BTech admission, no entrance examination is held. Candidates will have to register for IPU BTech admission 2027 through JEE Main scores. The authorities will not accept IPU CET scores for admission. What is GGSIPU BTech Admission through JEE Main?

For admissions into BTech courses offered by participating institutes, candidates are not required to appear for the IPU Common Entrance Test (CET). To be considered eligible, candidates should appear for and qualify JEE Mains 2027 with a valid score. Only the score obtained during the current academic year will be accepted by GGSIPU. Any session or the best of both JEE Main scores will be accepted for IPU BTech admissions.

It is to be noted that candidates will not be automatically considered for IPU BTech admissions if they have qualified JEE Mains. IPU registration process has to be completed before final date.

IPU BTech 2027 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates are advised to check the official IPU BTech eligibility criteria 2027 to know which requirements they need to meet to participate in the admission process. Since the official IPU BTech 2027 eligibility has not been released yet, the previous year’s criteria can be checked below.

• Candidates should have passed 12th standard or an equivalent examination from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

• Should have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the above-mentioned subjects in the 12th standard (or equivalent) exam. For reserved categories, the minimum aggregate marks required is 50%.

• Candidates should have passed English as a subject in the qualifying exam.

• Should have a valid JEE Main score.

How to apply for IPU BTech admission through JEE Main 2027?

IPU BTech 2027 registration link will be available online at ipu.admissions.nic.in. Candidates will have to fill out and submit the IPU BTech application form 2027 before the final date, which will be announced soon. • Registration: First, the candidates will have to go to ipu.admissions.nic.in and click on the registration link. For registration, they will have to provide their basic details. A login password has to be generated.

• Filling of form: After registration, candidates will have to login and fill out their personal, academic and contact details. JEE Main details also have to be submitted correctly.

• Uploading of documents: Candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature as per official guidelines.

• Payment of fee: Finally, they will have to pay INR 2500 as the IPU BTech 2027 registration fee online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card.

IPU BTech 2027 Merit List

For admissions, GGSIPU BTech 2027 merit list will be prepared. To prepare the merit list, the authorities will consider JEE Main scores. Based on the information and eligibility submitted during registration, the IPU BTech merit list 2027 will be prepared. Candidates will be allotted merit ranks to assist with their counselling and admission process. If two or more candidates have the same merit rank, tie-breaking guidelines will be followed.

IPU BTech 2027 Admission through JEE Main: What is the Counselling Process?

GGSIPU BTech counselling 2027 will be held as an online process for all eligible candidates. During IPU BTech counselling through JEE Main, candidates will have to provide their preferred courses and colleges for admission. Selection of courses and colleges has to be done in order of preference. IPU BTech 2027 counselling will not be held in any other mode. 

IPU BTech 2027 Seat Allotment

GGSIPU will announce the IPU BTech seat allotment 2027 result online. Candidates will have to log in with the required details to view the seat allotment result. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate’s merit rank, preferences and seat availability. Once allotted, they will have to confirm their admission before the final date. Separate allotments will be released for different IPU BTech counselling rounds.

IPU BTech Admission through JEE Main Cutoff

The authorities will prepare the IPU BTech cutoff to select eligible candidates for admission into the participating institutes. Since no entrance exam will be held for BTech admissions, JEE Main scores will be considered to prepare the cutoff along with other determining factors. It is to be noted that meeting the IPU BTech 2027 cutoff will not confirm admission, but will give the candidates higher chances of allotment into their preference. GGSIPU BTech 2027 cutoff will be different as per the selected course, colleges and category.

BTech Courses Not Included in IPU BTech Admission through JEE Main

Candidates who wish to apply for BTech Lateral Entry and BTech Biotechnology will be required to attempt and qualify IPU CET for admission. For these courses, JEE Main scores will not be accepted, and the computer-based entrance test held by GGSIPU has to be attempted. After qualifying entrance exam, they will have to participate in the IPU CET counselling process with their obtained merit rank.
