What is JEECUP exam?

JEECUP is an annual entrance examination conducted by the Joint Entrance Examination Council (Polytechnic) to provide admissions into the participating polytechnic institutes of the state. The courses offered through JEECUP 2025 are Technology, Engineering and Pharmacy. The entrance examination is held as a computer-based test that will check the aptitude and knowledge of the candidates in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The eligible candidates must qualify for the exam and participate in the admission process. There is no other mode of admission for the participating institutes of JEECUP.

The Joint Entrance Examination Council, Uttar Pradesh, re-released the UP Polytechnic JEECUP 2025 application form process. During the UP JEECUP application process, the candidates had to register, fill in their details, upload documents, pay the fee and submit the form. The application fee could be paid online, i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. Only the registered candidates were able to participate in the JEECUP admission process. Candidates had to note that the UP Polytechnic JEECUP application form 2025 was available online only. Applicants were advised to check the eligibility criteria before filling out the JEECUP application form 2025. Applicants who made any mistake at the time of filling the JEECUP application form 2025 were able to make corrections in their form until May 20, 2025.

JEECUP 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates aspiring for admission to Polytechnic Institutions through UPJEE Polytechnic 2025 must meet the eligibility criteria. JEECUP Polytechnic's eligibility criteria for different courses are different. Check the details below:

NOTE: The minimum age limit was 14 years as of July 01, 2025.

JEECUP 2025 Reservation Criteria

As per the UP Government rules, the candidates belonging to reserved categories are eligible for a seat. These categories are:

1, Vertical Reservations:

• Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of General Category – 10%
• Other Backward Classes (OBC) if they belong to Non-Creamy Layer (NCL) - 27%
• Scheduled Castes (SC) - 21%
• Scheduled Tribes (ST) - 2%

2. Horizontal Reservations:

• Persons with Disability (PwD) (minimum 40% disability) – 5%
• Freedom Fighter – 2%
• Ward of Military personnel – 5%
• Female Candidate – 20%

The subjects and topics to be studied for the entrance examination will be released through the JEECUP syllabus 2025. Candidates are advised to check the syllabus of JEECUP 2025 to know which topics will be considered while preparing the question paper. The authorities will release the JEECUP 2025 syllabus online for all candidates. 

The authorities will release the JEECUP 2025 exam pattern online. The details regarding how the entrance exam will be conducted will be available through the exam pattern of JEECUP 2025. Information such as the exam mode, duration, type of questions, marking scheme and more were available through the exam pattern. Knowing the exam pattern beforehand allowed the candidates to be well-prepared for the exam.

• Candidates should know the JEECUP 2025 exam pattern and syllabus to know what has to be referred to for the exam preparation process.
• A personalized timetable should be prepared as per the aptitude of the candidate.
• Mock tests should be practised regularly by the candidates to know their preparation progress.
• Revision has to be done daily so that the studied topics are not forgotten. 

The admission authority has released the JEECUP admit card 2025 for eligible candidates, at the official website. To access the JEECUP hall ticket, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. Details regarding the exam date, timings, venue, guidelines and more have been released through the admit card. Without an admit card, no candidate will get entry into the exam hall. 

The correct responses to the question paper has been released through the provisional JEECUP answer key 2025. Candidates will be able to calculate their probable secured scores using the answer key of JEECUP 2025. Objections against the JEECUP answer key were accepted by the authorities till June 15. For every objection, the candidates had to pay INR 100 online i.e., through net banking/credit card/debit card. The fee was refundable if the objection is accepted by the authorities. After all of the objections are checked, the authorities will release the final JEECUP 2025 answer key.
