Language Proficiency Test
Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the mains exam have to undergo the LPT. The test is conducted in the Official/Local Language of the state. Candidates who are not proficient in the local language are disqualified. The office-wise local languages are given below:

RBI Assistant Marking Scheme
RBI Assistant marking scheme for prelims and mains exams is given below:
- For every correct answer, candidates score one mark
- There are also RBI Assistant negative marking for incorrect answers, 0.25 marks are deducted
- There is no weightage for LPT. Candidates must be able to speak, write and understand the local language of the state they have applied for. Candidates need to qualify the LPT or else they are not considered for the recruitment exam
RBI Assistant Negative Marking
The scores obtained by candidates in the RBI Assistant exam are calculated after deducting the penalty for wrong answers. According to RBI Assistant negative marking, 1/4 marks are deducted for wrong answers in the exam. Therefore, candidates are advised to mark the answers carefully to avoid getting negative marks.
