RBI Assistant Notification 2023: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released RBI Assistant Notification 2023 on September 13. A total of 450 vacancies have been announced for the exam. RBI Assistant apply online link was activated on September 13, 2023. The last date to fill the application form is October 4, 2023. RBI Assistant 2023 prelims exam will be conducted from October 21 to 23, 2023. RBI Assistant mains exam will be conducted on December 2, 2023. RBI Assistant Notification 2023: What is the eligibility?

To apply for the exam, candidates need to fulfil RBI Assistant eligibility criteria in terms of educational qualification and age. The age of candidates applying for the exam should be between 20 and 28 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Any graduate candidates with 50 per cent can apply for RBI Assistant exam. Candidates should be proficient in the local language of the state they are applying.

The notification for RBI Assistant was released on September 13, 2023 on the official website. RBI Assistant notification was released in PDF form. Candidates born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than 01/09/2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Relaxation in the upper age limit of five years will be provided to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) candidates, three years to OBC, 10 years to PWD, 10 years to widows/divorced women/ women judicially separated who are not re-married, five years to candidates domiciled in the state of Jammu and Kashmir during the period January 1, 1980, to December 31, 1989, etc. The minimum qualifying marks in graduation is 50 per cent (pass class for SC/ST/PwBD candidates). Candidates must have knowledge of computers.

Q:   What is RBI Assistant selection process?

The selection process includes preliminary and Mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims exam is divided into three sections English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. The Mains exam carries questions from Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The marks of the Mains exam are taken into consideration for the final merit list. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are called for LPT. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. The prelims exam serves as a screening test for the mains exam.

The application form is released online on the official website. The application fee is INR 450 for OBC/General/EWS candidates and INR 50 for SC/ST/PWD/EXS. RBI Assistant 2023 application process is explained below:

At times due to the heavy load at the server, the official website becomes slow for which candidates find difficulty in accessing the RBI Assistant admit card page. Therefore, candidates should re-login to download the RBI Assistant admit card within an interval of 5 minutes. Candidates are advised to download the admit card at night. Candidates need to download their admit cards by logging with the required credentials. Candidates need to download their admit cards online as the hard copy of it will not be sent by post. Candidates need to carry the printed copy of the admit card along with one photo-identity proof to the exam centre. Candidates are also required to carry two photographs inorder to affix them on the admit card.

RBI Assistant exam pattern is such that it is divided into prelims and mains exams. The preliminary exam is divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The question paper of the preliminary exam contains a total of 100 questions. The maximum marks allotted to the test is 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. The mains exam is divided into five sections: Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The duration of the test is 135 minutes with sectional timings. The total marks for the exam are 200. RBI Assistant syllabus is of graduation level. There is the penalty for wrong answers.

The basic RBI Assistant salary is INR 20,700 per month. The payscale is INR 20700-1200 (3)-24300- 1440 (4) -30060-1920 (6)-41580-2080 (2)-45740-2370 (3)-52850- 2850-55700 (20 years). Candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc., as admissible from time to time. The monthly gross emoluments for Assistants is approximately INR 45,050.

The initial basic pay of RBI Assistant is INR 20,700 per month (as per revised salary) with a pay scale of INR 20700-1200 (3)-24300-1440 (4) – 30060-1920 (6)-41580-2080 (2)-45740-2370 (3)-52850-2850-55700 (20 years). The revised gross salary of an RBI Assistant is INR 45,050 per month including Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance etc. In case, the employees are not staying the apartments, they will be paid with House Allowance of 15 per cent of Pay additional. An amount of INR 3575 is deducted from the net gross pay of an RBI Assistant. Candidates are given reimbursement of expenses for maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, Newspapers, Briefcase, Book Grant, Allowance for furnishing of residence, etc. as per eligibility, Dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment or hospitalization as per eligibility, Interest-free Festival Advance, Leave Fare Concession, Loan and Advance at concession rates of interest for Housing, Car, Education, Consumer Articles, Personal Computer, etc. It will be available to regular employees who will put in at least two years of service. The recruits will be governed by the Define Contribution New Pension Scheme, in addition to the benefit of Gratuity.
