RBI Assistant Cutoff 2024: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) releases RBI Assistant cut off for prelims and mains exams. The cut off of RBI Assistant 2024 will be released state-wise and category-wise along with the mark sheet & scorecard. RBI Assistant cut off is the minimum mark that a candidate needs to secure to qualify the exam. RBI Assistant previous years' cut off helps candidates to formulate a strategy for the exam. 

RBI Assistant cutoff is applied on individual sections and total aggregate marks. To qualify the each stage of the exam, candidates need to secure the section-wise and overall cutoff marks. The cut off of RBI Assistant is the minimum qualifying mark that candidates need to secure to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of the selection process.

RBI Assistant exam is conducted to fill up vacancies for the posts of Assistant in the various branches of RBI. RBI Assistant cut off date is that it is released within 15 days after the declaration of the result. Read below for more details on RBI Assistant cut off.

Q:   How is the cutoff for RBI Assistant Mains calculated?

A:

RBI Assistant Mains cut off is calculated out of 200 marks. TheMainsexam is divided into five sections-Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. There are a total of 200 questions and the total marks of the test are 200. The duration of the test is 135 minutes. RBI AssistantMainscut off is considered for final selection. Candidates qualifying theMainsexam are called for local language test. The cut off of theMainsexam is calculated based on the various factors such as difficult level of the exam, total marks, level of competition, etc.

 

Q:   When is the RBI Assistant cutoff released?

A:

RBI Assistant cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that candidates need to secure inorder to qualify the exam and become eligible for the next round of selection process. RBI Assistant cut off is released within a fortnight after the declaration of the result. The cut off is declared in PDF form and comprises the section-wise and overall cut off marks. Candidates securing equal to or more than the cut off marks are called for the next round of selection process. The cut off is calculated based on various factors such as number of vacancies, level of competition and number of test takes.

 

Q:   How is RBI Assistant prelims cut off calculated?

A:

RBI Assistant prelims cut off is calculated out of 100 marks. The prelims cut off is used to select candidates for theMainsexam. The cut off of the prelims exam is not counted for the final merit list. RBI Assistant prelims exam pattern is divided into three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The question paper of the preliminary exam contains a total of 100 questions. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. Candidates need to secure both the section-wise and overall cut off marks inorder to qualify the prelims exam. The prelims exam serves as a screening test for theMainsexam.

 

Q:   Can SBI Clerk transferred to other states?

A:

According to the SBI Clerk transfer policy, SBI Clerks or Junior Associates are not eligible for transfer be it within the state or outside the state. Earlier, SBI Clerks were allowed to request for transfer after successfully completing 5 years of service at their current location of posting. SBI Clerks and Junior Associates who were recruited through a special recruitment drive for Kashmir Valley, Tura, and Ladakh are allowed to request a transfer only after successfully completing 8 years of service at their current base location. From 2021, this option has been discontinued for the newly recruited SBI Clerks. The latest official notification states that no inter circle transfers or inter state transfers are permitted for Junior Associates or SBI Clerks who have been recruited. Posting locations are classified as normal centres, difficult centres and most difficult centres.

Factors Affecting RBI Assistant Cut Off

Stages of RBI Assistant Cut off

The stages of RBI Assistant cut off are explained below:

RBI Assistant Prelims Cut off 

The cutoff for RBI Assistant prelims is calculated out of 100 marks. RBI declares RBI Assisant pre cutoff for English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability.  Each question in the test is for one mark. There is also negative marking for wrong answers, ¼ marks are deducted as a penalty. RBI Assistant cutoff prelims is calculated after normalizing the marks of candidates. RBI office assistant cutoff marks for prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. 

RBI Assistant Mains Cut off 

RBI Assistant mains cutoff is calculated out of 200. The mains exam is conducted for the qualified candidates of the prelims exam. The test comprises five sections. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. RBI Assistant mains cut off is calculated after normalizing the marks of candidates. The cutoff marks for the mains exam is considered for preparing the final RBI Assistant result. On the basis of RBI Assistant cutoff for the mains exam, candidates are shortlisted for Language Proficiency Test (LPT). 

RBI Assistant Final Cut off

RBI Assistant final cutoff is calculated based on the mains exam subject to candidates qualifying the Language proficiency test. Based on the RBI Assistant final result cutoff, candidates are selected for appointment. 

Q:   What is the impact of normalisation in RBI Assistant cut off calculation?

A:

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Assistant exam is a highly competitive examination, and the RBI Assistant cut off marks vary each year depending on factors such as the number of applicants, the difficult of the exam, and the number of vacancies. However, generally, the cut-off marks for the preliminary round is usually around 70-80 marks out of a total of 100 marks. The cut-off marks for the main round is usually around 130-140 marks out of a total of 200 marks. RBI Assistant cut off marks are calculated out of normalisation. Normalisation of cut off marks is done to adjust the difficult level of question papers across various sessions. The cutoff marks are decided based on the normalised score.

 

Q:   Is there any negative marking in RBI Assistant Exam?

A:
The RBI Assistant has negative marking scheme. 1/4 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer in prelims and Mains exam. The exam pattern has been given below for the candidates: Number of Questions: 100 Total marks: 100 Marks for correct answer: +1 Deduction for incorrect answer: 0.25 Marks for unanswered question: 0 The marks of candidates are calculated based on the marking scheme. The scores are calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. Normalisation of marks is done to adjust the difficulty level of the question paper held across various shifts. RBI Assistant result is announced based on the normalised marks. Candidates should score good marks in the exam to crack the exam.

A:

RBI Assistant Main Exam for 2019-20 was held on November 22, 2020. The highest cut off was recorded for Kolkata. RBI AssistantMainscut off for this state was 126.25 out of 200 marks. The state-wise cut off marks for General category is given below.

Q:   Why is the RBI Assistant cut-off so high?

A:

RBI Assistant cut off is high because the competition is very high compared to other exams. The vacancy is also low compared to the number of applicants who apply for the exam. Moreover, there is no interview in RBI Assistant exam. In order to shortlist the candidates the cut off is fixed at a maximum. The exam level of RBI Assistant is easy to moderate. Q:   What is the in-hand salary of RBI Assistant?

A:
RBI offers a lucrative salary to its employees. As a result of which, a large number of aspirants apply for the exam. The basic salary of RBI Assistant is INR 20,700 per month. The pay scale is INR 20700-1200 (3)-24300- 1440 (4) -30060-1920 (6)-41580-2080 (2)-45740-2370 (3)-52850- 2850-55700 (20 years). Candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, etc., as admissible from time to time. At present, the initial monthly gross emolument for Assistants is approximately INR 45,050. The house allowance of 15 percent of pay is paid to employees.
 

Q:   What is RBI Assistant selection process?

A:
The selection process includes preliminary and Mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT). The prelims exam is divided into three sections English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The total duration of the preliminary exam is 60 minutes. The Mains exam carries questions from Test of Reasoning, Test of English Language, Test of Numerical Ability, Test of General Awareness and Test of Computer Knowledge. The total marks allotted to the test are 200. The marks of the Mains exam are taken into consideration for the final merit list. Candidates qualifying the Mains exam are called for LPT. The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the final merit list. The prelims exam serves as a screening test for the mains exam.
