Chaudhary Devi Lal University is accredited with ‘B’ Grade by NAAC. It is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. It is also approved by University Grant Commission, National Council for Teacher Education, and the Bar Council of India.
It was established in 2003 in Haryana. It offers various courses to candidates in streams such as- Management, Engineering, Commerce, Law, Journalism and Mass Communication, Humanities, Social Sciences, Science and Education. The university also offers various programmes through the University Centre for Distance Learning. CDLU imparts education through its 24 departments namely the Department of Business Administration, Department of Physical Education, Department of Music, Department of Biotechnology, Department of Chemistry, etc.

The last date to apply for CDLU BA admission varies from year to year. This is because the admissions are based on the CUET UG result. CUET UG result 2024 has not been released yet but is expected to be released soon. Hence, interested candidates must timely submit their applications on the official website of CDLU. As per the academic calander available on the university's official website, the admission cycle for 2024-25 will close on July 20, 2024. It must be noted that this date is subject to change and hence, is indicative.

CDLU offers merit-based merit-based scholarships to candidates. These include- Haryana State Merit Scholarship offered by the Government of Haryana. Eligible candidates are those who have passed Class 12. The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme, is also offered by the Government of India.

The Post-Matric Scholarship (PMS) that the students at CDLU can avail of is an inititative of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India.
