Andhra University Bachelor of Science is a three-year UG-level course divided into six semesters. Additionally, the BSc course is offered in both full-time mode and distance learning. To be eligible for this course, candidates must have completed their higher senior secondary i.e., Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics subjects. For admission, to BSc some affiliated college of AU also accepts the AUCET and Andhra Pradesh EAMCET entrance examination scores.
An applicant can get admission to any BSc course offered at Andhra University without having valid scores in the EAMCET examination. Because this university also accepts valid scores in AUCET. Thus, applicants who have valid scores in any of the entrance exams can enrol. This allows students to take different paths to get admission into the course, depending on the entrance exam or performance in Class 12.
Further, for some of the BSc courses offered in online mode, the university also accepts Class 12, merit-based admission.

Andhra University Visakhapatnam Infrastructure
Andhra University is spread across a campus of 422 acres, with over 120 academic, administrative and support service buildings. Other than this, the university is also equipped with 324 staff quarters. Presently, the university caters for education in five green districts of Andhra Pradesh namely Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Vizinagaram and Srikakulam. Andhra University offers 23 hostel buildings for boys with accommodation of 3,200 students and 10 hostels for women with a capacity of 2,000. Also, there are two hostels, especially for foreign/ NRI students.
Andhra University in Vizag infrastructure offers its students two residential health centres and a home dispensary. Adding to its advanced infrastructure, the university also has four guest houses, one central canteen and four other canteens, women waiting for halls, a press and publication division, a faculty club and schools for employees’ children.

To reach the university, candidates can take Bus NO, 48A and 211 at the Dondaparithy bus stop. They can also take a taxi via Vishakapatnam Airport and distance is of 13 km.
