Hotel management students can pursue an internship at Marriot Hotel for six months. As part of the internship, students are made to work at different departments of the hotel such as the front office, housekeeping, food & beverage service and kitchen. Internship at Marriot is mostly offered for a duration of six months. Candidates can apply for internships as part of two batches:

This internship is typically for a six-month duration and students are made to work at different departments of the hotel. However, Oberoi also offers shorter duration internship ranging somewhere around 17 weeks at a single department. The hotel also offers longer internships which can last for as long as a year. Oberoi Hotel at Delhi is known to offer internships to around 40 students in one internship batch.

However, Leela Hotel prefers to offer internships to those candidates who are recommended by their college. The Hotel offers students an opportunity to intern under different departments of the hotel – Operations, front office, food & beverage services as well as kitchen and housekeeping.

Even Westin does not prefer students who have applied on their own for internship and is mostly seen hiring students through colleges. Sources reveal that this is done because students who come through some college placement department are more serious about their internship because their marks and attendance are directly related to their internship performance.
Duration of Internships at Westin Hotels
Westin also offers internships in two batches:
- Summer Batch: This internship batch mostly starts from June/July onwards. Westin Hotel’s Gurgaon branch offers internship to 40 students and Sona outlet of the hotel offers internship to 20 students in the summer batch.
- Winter Batch: This internship batch mostly starts from September/October onwards. Westin Hotel’s Gurgaon branch offers internship to 50 students and Westin Hotel’s Sona outlet offers internship to 30 students as part of the winter batch internship.

Students have the opportunity to intern at all departments of Taj Group of Hotels. The hotel offers four-and-a-half to six-month industrial training to students at all hotel management related departments. If the authorities feel that a student has an ability or inclination to intern at other departments then such students are allowed to work with the hotel staff in the HR as well as the Sales Department.
How to apply for Interships at the Taj Group of Hotels?
Students can apply for an internship at Taj by first making a call to the hotel’s HR. Thereafter they need to send their CV and then appear for an interview before a panel. If the hotel’s officials feel that the student has the ability and is serious enough to intern, then they are recruited for an internship.
Duration of Internships at Taj Group of Hotels
Students can intern at Taj as part of two internship batches:
- Summer Batch: This batch starts in the month of May and candidates are shortlisted for internship on the basis of interviews conducted in the month of January and February. By February end all internship posts in the summer batch of Taj are closed.
- Winter Batch: This batch starts in the month of November/ December and candidates are shortlisted for internship on the basis of interviews conducted in June (end)/ July. By July end, all internship vacancies for the winter batch are closed.
