Application process for JMC admissions 2017

Jesus and Mary College (JMC) of Delhi University has invited applications for admission in undergraduate programmes offered by it for the academic session commencing in 2017. Although JMC joined Delhi University’s centralised application process last year, the college will continue with its own admission policy this academic year as well.

Students aspiring to secure admission at JMC need to submit their application forms latest by June 12, 2017. The complete application process for JMC admissions 2017 is given below.

How to apply for JMC admissions 2017

Step 1: Fill DU application form

Candidates first need to fill the application form on the official website of Delhi University. On filling the DU application form, a registration number will be generated which candidates need to note for future reference.

Step 2: Fill the JMC application form

After successfully filling the DU application form, candidates need to visit the official website of JMC College and fill the application form there.

Details to be filled in the JMC application form include:

Applicant details: This section requires candidates to fill their personal details such as name, date of birth, nationality, and passport number. Candidates also need to enter the registration number generated at the time of filling the DU application form.

Category: In the next section, candidates need to select their category, if applicable. The category options provided are Children of War Widow/ Catholic/ Catholic-SC/ Catholic-ST/ Christian/ Christian-SC/ Christian-ST/ Extra Curricular Activities/ Foreign National/ PwD/ Sports/ Staff Quota/ J&K Migrant.

Course: Here, candidates need to select the course in which they want to apply. Candidates can select a maximum of three courses.

Education: In this section, candidates need to enter their education details [Stream in School/ Board/ Exam Passed/ Roll Number/ Year of Passing/ Status of Result/ Percentage Scored/ Hindi Studied (If yes, up to which class)]. Candidates also need to mention subjects (along with marks obtained) that they want to include in “Best Four Calculation”.

Contact information: Here, candidates need to mention their address for communication and permanent address.

Family details: Under this section, candidates need to enter the name, phone number, email ID, address, occupation, and income of their mother and father. Candidates also need to mention the total annual income of the family.

Declaration: Candidates need to give declarations mentioned on the form by clicking on the checkboxes.

Photo: Candidates must upload their latest photo which should be 200 pixels tall and 150 pixels wide. Also, the size of the photo should not exceed 500 kb.

After all details in the JMC application form are filled, candidates need to click on the “Submit Application” button present at the bottom of the form.

After submitting the form, candidates can proceed to the payment gateway to pay the application fee by clicking on the “Make Payment” button.

The JMC application procedure for DU admissions 2017, thereafter, will be complete.

Note: A candidate is allowed to fill only one application form for JMC admissions 2017. Any candidate who fills more than one application form will be disqualified from JMC admissions 2016.

Admission at Jesus and Mary College will be provided on the basis of cutoffs. The official website informs, "The cutoff lists of the selected candidates will be put up on the college website/ notice board as per the Delhi University schedule." The first cutoff list of DU is scheduled to be released on June 20, 2017.

JMC College Admissions 2017: Candidates applying under Sports/ ECA quota

Candidates applying under Sports/ ECA quota need to appear for fitness tests and trials at Jesus and Mary College as per the schedule. Candidates also need to bring all the original certificates/ documents at the time of trials.
