The candidates who have registered for the AP LAWCET 2025 counselling Phase 1 will now have to wait for the new notification to exercise the option to select colleges. The seat allotment and college reporting schedule is also postponed along with web-option process. Candidates will need to regularly check the APSCHE official website, lawcet-sche.aptonline.in/LAWCET for new update. The revised AP LAWCET counselling schedule for the LLB will be updated here. Candidates may check the colleges accepting the Andhra Pradesh LAWCET 2025 scores before registering for the exam. Candidates will have to go through the following stages while participating in the AP LAWCET 2025 counselling: 

  • AP LAWCET Counselling Online Registration: Aspiring candidates will have to register for the counselling process online wherein they will have to provide their details including name, address, qualifying exam details, APLAWCET scores, etc.
  • Web Options Exercise for APLAWCET: This will be done to record the candidates choice of colleges for admission. However, the admission will be done based on the merit achieved in the APLAWCET exam.
  • Andhra Pradesh Seat Allotment List: The APSCHE will release the seat allotment list based on the merit acheived and preference of college recorded. 
  • Self Reporting: Candidates whose names will appear in the seat allotment list will have to visit the allocated college for seat confirmation and document verification. 

Below given are some of the important guidelines to be followed during the AP LAWCET counselling registration:

  • AP LAWCET 2025 will be an online counselling process. 
  • Candidates will be required to upload the documents as required for verification purposes.
  • The online verification of documents will be done after which the verified candidates will have to participate in web-option process to feed their choice of colleges.
  • Once web option process completes, seat allotment list will be released after which candidates will have to report to their alloted colleges for seat confirmation.

In the AP LAWCET 2025 exam, around 27,253 candidates registered for the Law entrance exam and over 21,251 candidates appeared and around 20,826 students qualified.

The APLAWCET counselling schedule was released on the APSCHE official website. The registration for the counselling started on September 08, 2025. AP LAWCET Result Evaluation Criteria 2025

To pass the AP LAWCET 2025, candidates must score a minimum of 35%. However, they need to note that admission to a particular college through the AP LAWCET exam will depend on the cutoff determined by the college authorities. 

Merit List

The AP LAWCET merit list will be released with the AP LAWCET results 2025. Based on the scores obtained by candidates, a merit list is prepared. Ranks are assigned to candidates according to the scores they obtain on the merit list. The AP LAWCET merit list 2025 is the same as the AP LAWCET rank list 2025. 

Tie-breaking Criteria

In a case where two or more candidates achieve the same marks in the AP LAWCET, a tie-breaking criteria is used to decide their rankings. The tie-breaking criteria are mentioned below:

Criterion 1 When two candidates have the same score, the candidate with the higher score in Part C of the AP LAWCET question paper will receive the higher rank.

Criterion 3 If the marks obtained by them in Part C are still the same. The marks scored by them in Part B are considered for tie-breaking.

What is AP LAWCET?

Andhra Pradesh Common Law Entrance Test (APLAWCET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Tirupati on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admissions to law courses offered at Andhra Pradesh Universities and their affiliated colleges. It is conducted in the Computer-Based Test mode for a duration of 90 minutes and the test language is English and Telugu for both five-year LLB and three-year LLB courses. 

AP LAWCET is generally conducted from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. Candidates need to note that the exam timing is subject to change.

The mode of examination for AP LAWCET is Computer-based test mode. The AP LAWCET question paper is based on 120 objective-type questions from three sections - GK and Mental Ability, Current Affairs, and Aptitude for the study of Law.

AP LAWCET Application Form 2025

The application process of AP LAWCET 2025 started from March 25, 2025 at cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET, for admission to the 3-year and 5-year LLB courses offered by participating law colleges in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Note: To get admission to the LLM programme, candidates can fill out the AP PGLCET application form 2025.

Steps to fill the AP LAWCET 2025 application form

  1. Registration and payment of application fee - The candidate were required to enter details like name, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number, email id, and date of birth. Then, they had to select the stream and pay the application fee. 
  2. Fill out the form - After fee payment was done successfully, the candidate could proceed to fill in the rest of the application form - personal, academic, and contact details. Also, select a test center.
  3. Upload documents - The candidate were required to upload a photograph and signature in JPG format. 

The entire admission process of AP LAWCET 2025 will be online and described as under:

Step 1: AP LAWCET Registration and Fee Submission

The application form of  AP LAWCET will be released on the official website of APSCHE in online mode. Candidates will have to pay the application and then fill the application form with their personal and academic details. Candidates will also be required to pay the mentioned amount above in the application section form section as their APLAWCET application fees 2025 for LLB courses.

Step 2: Download Admit Card

After successful application, candidates will be issued admit card for appearing for the exam. The AP LAWCET hall ticket/admit card mentions details related to the allotted test centre, exam date, timings and exam day instructions. To download admit card, a candidate will have to login on the official website using registration number and date of birth. 

Step 3: Appear for AP LAWCET 

APSCHE conducted AP LAWCET in a computer-based test mode for a duration of 1 hour 30 minutes. Candidates have to appear for the exam at their allotted test centres. They should carry AP LAWCET admit card and a valid photo ID proof to the exam centre on the exam day.

Step 4: Check AP LAWCET Results

APSCHE declares the AP LAWCET result within a month of conducting the examination. Candidates who qualified AP LAWCET as per the criteria i.e. 35 per cent out of the total score of 100 will be allotted ranks in the merit list for further shortlisting process.

Step 5: Counselling and Seat Allotment

The counselling process of AP LAWCET will be conducted on the basis of the merit list. First, the candidates have to exercise web options entry where the shortlisted candidates need to indicate their choices from the available colleges. Then the seat allotment process will begin and, candidates can lock their allotted seat by completing verification of documents and fee payment.

Candidates need to know the AP LAWCET eligibility criteria 2025, before applying for the AP LAWCET 2025 exam. The eligibility criteria are mentioned below:

  • Candidates must have passed grduation in a (10+2+3/4) format from any recognised college or university. 
  • The minimum qualifying marks general or open category candidates in AP LAWCET 3-year LLB programme is 45%
  • The minimum qualifying marks for EWS and SC/ST category candidates are 42% and 40%, respectively for AP LAWCET 3-year LLB course

Note: Candidates waiting for their Class 12 result or graduation final result can also apply for the AP LAWCET 5-year LLB and AP LAWCET 3-year LLB programmes, respectively. But they must have their final marksheets at the time of AP LAWCET counselling or admission.

Q:   When will AP LAWCET 2026 admit card be released?
A: 

The AP LAWCET admit card 2026 will tentatively be released in the first week of June 2026, on the website of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE): cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCWET. The admit card will be made available in online mode only. The AP LAWCET admit card is also referred as the AP LAWCET hall ticket. Candidates will have to download the admit card before the AP LAWCET 2026 exam, Thereafter, they need to take its multiple printouts of the hall ticket.

They need to affix their coloured passport-size photograph to their AP LAWCET hall ticket or admit card. Then, they need to carry the hall ticket to the  exam centre.

AP LAWCET Admit Card 2025

Before appearing in the AP LAWCET entrance exam, candidates are required to download the AP LAWCET admit card, which is released on the LAWCET portal of APSCHE. Candidates are required to follow the steps mentioned below to download it:

Step 1: Visit the APSCHE's CETS website, cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/APSCHEHome.aspx. 

Step 2: Click on the "LAWCET" tab available on the website's homepage. 

Step 3: Now, click on the "Download Hall Ticket" option. 

Step 4: Enter your Registration Number or Payment Reference ID, Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket No. and Date of Birth to download the AP LAWCET hall ticket. 

Candidates must adhere to the AP LAWCET exam day guidelines and keep the essential items required on the eaxm day including the admit card, valid ID proof, etc. to avoid the last minute rush on the exam day.

The AP LAWCET 2026 result will be declared on the official APSCHE LAWCET website - cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET soon after the exam is concluded. The result for each candidates will be made available as a scorecard online. To pass the AP LAWCET 2026 exam, candidates from General and OBC categories will have to score 35% of the total marks i.e. 42 marks out of 120. 

There is no minimum passing marks for AP LAWCET for candidates from SC/ST category. All candidates who pass the exam will be eligible for the AP LAWCET counselling process. To participate in the counselling, they will have to fill out the counselling registration form online and then select the colleges for admission through the choice filling process.
