AP LAWCET Cutoff 2026: Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education will be releasing cutoff for AP LAWCET exam soon. Candidates must know that AP LAWCET 2026 cutoff marks are scores that indicate that they will be given a seat in colleges if they obtain marks beyond cut-off. These scores enable them participate in counselling process. 

Also, AP LAWCET qualifying marks for different categories are prepared separately. General and OBC candidates have to obtain 42 as their qualifying marks. There is no minimum qualifying marks for SC, ST or PwD candidates to participate in AP LAWCET counselling. As of now, dates for AP LAWCET 2026 counselling have not been announced.

How is AP LAWCET 2026 Cutoff determined?

The AP LAWCET 2026 cutoff will be decided by looking at few main things that affect admission chances. It shows the least marks you must score to get a seat in the law college you want.

  • Number of Applicants: When more students apply, the cutoff mostly goes higher.
  • Exam Difficulty: If the paper is hard, cutoff can go little lower.
  • Seats Available: Colleges with less seats usually have high cutoff marks.
  • Candidate Category: Cutoff changes for General, SC, ST, OBC, and other groups.
  • Overall Performance: If many students score well, cutoff becomes high.
  • Previous Year Trends: Old year cutoffs help to guess the safe score for this year.

The final AP LAWCET 2026 cutoff will come out after results and counselling. Every law college in Andhra Pradesh will have its own cutoff list.

AP LAWCET 2026 Qualifying Marks

  • It is the minimum marks needed for admission
  • It is released at the time of seat allotment.
  • The admission cutoff is not fixed and depends on a host of factors like seat matrix, number of applicants, etc.

The cut-off marks for AP LAWCET 2026 are also affected by the minimum qualifying criteria laid down by the exam authority. The category-wise qualifying marks for AP LAWCET are as under:

The qualifying marks for AP LAWCET 2026 are different for each category of students. It means every group has its own rule for passing the exam.

What Do AP LAWCET Qualifying Marks Mean?

The AP LAWCET qualifying marks are the least score you must get to pass the exam. Only those who qualify in the AP LAWCET 2026 test will be allowed for admission into 3-year or 5-year LLB courses. If you score equal or more than the qualifying marks, you can take part in the counselling and seat allotment process.

SC/ST Candidates

Students who belong to SC or ST category don’t need to get any minimum marks. They just have to appear for the entrance exam to be considered for the next admission rounds.

Qualification in AP LAWCET 2026 exam is no assurance of admission - It is because the allotment of seats will be based on AP LAWCET score (or merit rank). In fact, the counselling and seat allotment process will be conducted using the AP LAWCET 2026 merit list as a reference.

  • It is also different for each category of candidates.

What is the AP LAWCET Cutoff?

The AP LAWCET cutoff means the least marks or score you must get in the exam to get a seat in the college you applied for. It shows the minimum score needed for admission.

  • During counselling registration, you can choose the colleges you wish to join. The final admission depends on your rank and the cutoff marks of that college.

AP LAWCET Cut Offs 2024 (Previous Year Cut-off)

 AP LAWCET cut-off is released category specific and indicates minimum marks one needs to obtain in AP LAWCET exam in their respective categories. AP LAWCET cutoff is not fixed, but may vary depending on seat intake, merit ranks, category and also popularity of law college.

In 2024, difficulty level of AP LAWCET 2024 3-year LLB exam was moderate to difficulty. So, expected AP LAWCET 3-year LLB cut offs for top law colleges were between 450 to 700. Also, 5-year LLB entrance exam was moderately difficult. So, cut offs for top colleges accepting the AP LAWCET 5-year LLB scores were between 290 and 550.
