IIT Kharagpur offers MBA programme through its management school – Vinod Gupta School of Management (VGSOM). The institute offers General MBA with various elective courses. IIT Kharagpur MBA course is ranked among top 100 in India. In the NIRF ranking 2025, IIT Kharagpur is ranked No. 19 for Management programmes. IIT Kharagpur MBA Admission Process 2026
IIT Kharagpur MBA admission will be done in two stages. In both stages CAT score will taken into consideration for selecting candidates:
Stage 1: Shortlisting for Personal Interview (PI) based on CAT 2025 result and academic record
Stage 2: Final selection of candidates for admission based on a combined score comprising Application Rating (AR), CAT 2025 score, and Personal Interview (PI) performance.
IIT Kharagpur MBA Eligibility Criteria
To apply for IIT Kharagpur MBA course, candidates are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria along with having a valid CAT score.
- A Bachelor's degree of minimum 4-year duration in engineering/technology/pharmacy or a Master's degree in Science/Economics/Commerce (with Mathematics or Statistics at Bachelor's level)
- Minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying degree for General/EWS/OBC candidates is 60% or CGPA of 6.5 on a 10-point scale and for SC/ST/PWD candidates, it is 55% or CGPA of 6.0 on a 10-point scale.
- Final year students are also eligible to apply for the course, but they will have to submit passing certificate by May 31, 2026.
