Life at IIM Bangalore: Picture perfect campus sets the right mood

Did you ever wonder about how life is at an MBA college? The classes, the case studies, the surprise tests, the placements – it looks like an exciting place to be.

To give a glimpse of how life is on the other side of the fence, Shiksha spoke to some students of top B-schools across India.  In this article, we speak to Hari Prasad from of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) – Bangalore (batch of 2012-2014).

Hari pursued Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from College of Engineering Guindy, Chennai, (2006). He went on to work with Adobe Systems and Global Scholar Pvt. Ltd for almost six years. “I always wanted to pursue an MBA, even while in college. But later decided to acquire some work experience and understand my strengths,” he says. Check the category wise minimum percentage required to apply for the exam: 

  • General Category- 50%
  • NC OBC and EWS- 45%
  • SC, ST, PwD (DA)- 40%

The institute also accepts CUET GAT scores or CUET General Test scores. The minimum percentage required is:

  • General Category: 70 percentile
  • NC OBC, EWS: 65 percentile

Yes, students belonging to General category have to pay INR 3000 as the IIMB BBA DBE application fee. The reserved category students, i.e. SC, ST and PwD, get a 50% fee concession. This means, they have to pay INR 1500 as the application fee.
