Financial Aid Policy at IIM Bangalore
IIM Bangalore offers financial aid and scholarships to aspirants in need, aiming to propagate management studies among all strata of candidates. Keeping this in mind, IIMB has instituted a Financial Aid Policy for aspirants willing to apply for MBA programmes at the institute.
Need based scholarships are offered to students with a family income below INR 8 LPA. The Financial Aid Committee undertakes a two step process to evaluate the awardees and the total amount of fee waiver to be given. The first step is to score a candidate basis the Annual family income and number of dependents in the family. On the basis of the score obtained, the candidate is further called for a panel discussion. The second step is to evaluate the candidate basis their score and PI round. Based on the weightage of both the scores, applicants are provided 20% to 100% of tuition fee waiver.
Furthermore, students at IIM Bangalore are also awarded several merit-based and merit cum need-based scholarships. Such scholarships are awarded to candidates on the basis of their performance during the course term.
