I am a core member of the Admissions Committee of my college which acts as a bridge between the aspirants and the management. Also, I am also a member of the Speakers Club of IFMR that conducts events to boost students' confidence through public speaking.
Since my school days, I was quite inclined towards the business field. So, I decided to opt Commerce with Mathematics for my higher secondary education. It gave me a good kick start to delve into the world of business. Moreover, the decision to opt for this course was also to explore the various interesting aspects of the corporate world.
The main reason to choose IFMR Graduate School of Business for my post-graduation was greatly influenced by the amazing MBA curriculum that the college offers. The exhaustive curriculum provides a plethora of opportunities to learn more about the business sector. My decision to pursue an MBA was taken keeping in mind the need for diligent managers in today’s world. I wanted to learn all the skill sets required for being a good manager to run an organization.
The rigorous study plan along with the motivation to get into a premier B-school was the driving force for me to crack the college interview and exam. Consistent efforts were put to pass the exam by me. I also gave CAT, CMAT and XAT entrance exams. I practised from various test series that had several mock tests that gave me a clear idea about the exam pattern.
Apart from IFMR, I had also applied to different colleges for admission. But among them, IFMR Graduate school of Business, KREA University emerged out as the best choice for me to fulfil my goals and ambitions.
COVID-19 pandemic has immensely impacted our college life. Until now we have not visited our campus and have been taking all our classes sitting in front of our laptop screen. Zoom has become a one-stop destination for our every activity right from attending classes to interacting and gelling up with our batchmates. Till now, all the classes have been pretty interactive and fun. Classes like Managerial Communication have helped us in thinking out of the box and this would be very helpful to us in the corporate world in the future.
Many extra-curricular activities and events have been organized for the students to break the monotony. I am also a core member of the Admissions Committee of my college which acts as a bridge between the aspirants and the management. Also, I am a member of the Speakers Club of IFMR that conducts events to boost students' confidence through public speaking. The extra-curricular activities, events and webinars across the time period have kept us all alive even during the tight schedule.
The college's experience as of now has been stupendous. It has definitely positively changed me by making me a more responsible person. I can now manage time between extra-curricular activities and studies flawlessly without hampering any one of it. It has granted me the ability to manage time properly while keeping the focus on crucial things.
