Q:   What is MBBS NeXT all about?
A: 

On December 28th, 2022 NMC announced the guidelines National Exit Test NExT with details on eligibility, structure, and scoring. NMC National Exit Test NExT exam, assuming it is conducted by AIIMS Delhi, will be single-window for exiting candidates, and allow MBBS candidates please to safely practice in  India. It sections test theory and practical knowledge and skills in regard to the two sections. Once it is operational, the NExT exam will replace FMGE and NEET PG exam currently used to license foreign medical graduates to practice medicine in India.

NExT tests will be conducted two times per year May and November. On June 27, the National Medical Commission NMC etc. indicated that the National Exit Test would be delivered in two stages using computer systems- the written stage and the practical stage. Candidates must successfully complete Step 1 and complete their internship in order to qualify for Step 2. 
According to the NMC draft considerations, the National Exit Test was designed as a means to add predictability to the summative evaluation for the country in terms of the common minimum levels of education and training for a medical graduate.
