My college experience taught me maturity: Pramit Gupta
I opted for PCB i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Biology in 11th. I was always interested in Biology since 9th standard and always wanted to study the subject. I was not clear about what I wanted to do after 12th standard. I was still settling myself with the flow and the 12th standard was over. Eventually, I went for Pharmacy because I thought that it might be an interesting field and it turned out to be one. I applied for numerous colleges for pursuing Bachelor of Pharmacy and I finally ended up at Amity University, Lucknow Campus. I never knew I had so much interest in Pharmacy. No doubt, the curriculum is tough but I enjoy learning.
Amity University Lucknow Campus was, no doubt, a very good choice for me. I filled up an application form online and then I had to go through an entrance test. After clearing it, there was a personal interview round and I passed that round too. The procedure was quite simple and easy but also a bit tiring. I studied the syllabus of 11th and 12th standard for clearing the entrance test and for the personal interview, I just had the right amount of confidence. I joined Akash Institute for regular coaching classes. I got to learn many things there and hoped for clearing NEET. I was looking forward to admission in King George’s Medical College, also known as Medical College, Lucknow.
The class timings are generally from 9 am-5 pm or 8 am-6 pm. Sometimes it gets a bit tiring when the classes go on for too long. But I am always excited about the classes because every day I get to learn something new. For lunch, there are numerous food options, both on and off-campus, where you can go and hang out with your friends. The two dance groups that are famous in the college are ‘Underdogs Crew’ and ‘Custom Made Crew’. They perform in every college event.
I have always been a part of a dance group and in our free time, we generally practice something new. I have participated in every dancing competition or event ever held on the campus. Various workshops are organized on a variety of topics and they are really helpful.
College life has taught me a bunch of new lessons about everything in life. I have become a better and a mature person and it would not have been possible without this university. It has changed me a lot in all dimensions, be it communication skills, my dressing sense, etc. Everything has seen a change and always in a positive direction.
