How to Fill CA Intermediate exam form 2026?
Application form for Sep 2026 will have to be submitted in online mode only. Check below, how to apply:
- Go to ICAI SSP portal: https://eservices.icai.org/
- Click on login and enter details as required (New users can use 'New User Register here!' option)
- Click on confirmation/declaration and 'Register' button to complete ICAI exam registration
- Once registered, go back to login option
- Choose registration number in the drop-down and authenticate
- Login with registration number and password
- Add relevant details and upload necessary documents
- Make payment of application fee
- Download the duly filled CA exam form for future reference

Candidates are eligible to apply for CA Inter exam through direct entry or by passing CA Foundation exam.

ICAI CA Application Form 2026: Documents Required
Candidates have to upload their photo and signature while filling CA Inter online form. While uploading these documents, they must ensure following things:
Photograph
- The passport size photo should be injpg/jpeg format and of 20-50 KB
- It should be against white background
- 80 % of the face should be visible including ears
- The photo must have a clear contrast of the image
- Photo with caps/headgears or goggles are not acceptable
- Religious headgear is allowed but it should not cover the face
- Photo wearing spectacles is acceptable.
- The photo should not be having “red-eye”

- The file size must be between 10-20 KB.
- The scanned signature should be well cropped and the format should be jpg/jpeg.

Important Instructions While Filling CA Intermediate Application Form
Key points to remember while filling CA Intermediate Application Form 2026 are as follows:
- Students have to create a login ID on the official ICAI website through one-time registration.
- The username and password will be shared through an email and SMS.
- Students have to use username and password to access the ICAI CA Inter application form.
- They must enter valid details and fill every mandatory field. Incomplete forms will not get submitted in the portal.
- Application fee is to be paid through Visa/Master/Maestro Credit/Debit Card.
- After successful payment of fees, students must download the duly filled form and save it.
- Get ICAI CA Intermediate application form attested by a Chartered Accountant or a Gazetted Officer or Principal of School/College.
- Students have to upload/edit their photograph and signature on the SSP before submitting the exam form, if required.
- Those whose articleship status (CA Final/Intermediate Direct Entry) is in pending mode due to documentation must update the status on SSP before filling the CA exam form.
- CA Intermediate students whose registration mode (i.e. route through which they have registered for CA Intermediate course like CA CPT/CA Foundation/Graduate/ICSI etc.) is not appearing on the dashboard can raise a ticket in SSP for resolving of it before the commencement of application process.

Before filling the CA Intermediate exam form 2026 please check following:
- To fill the CA Inter exam form, students must have valid login credentials on Self Service Portal (SSP) and a valid course registration.
- If the validity of the registration has lapsed, they must re-validate or convert on SSP at https://eservices.icai.org/.
- CA Course Registration Validity of CA Intermediate is 5 years and the fee for revalidation of CA Intermediate course registration is INR 400.
- Conversion: Candidate whose course code is not as under need to convert to new course before making application. No fees is required to be paid
Intermediate: - For Conversion, use your login credentials of SSP and Go to Student Functions- -> Student Module -->Course Registration--> Apply for Conversion Convert Old to New Course

- Candidates also have to check the quality of photo and signature and upload new ones if required, in the Self Service Portal before filling up the CA Inter exam form.

ICAI CA Intermediate exam is conducted in following 9 overseas cities:

The time duration of ICAI CA exams varies for each paper. For some papers, the duration is three hours whereas for some papers it is two hours. The time limit of CA Foundation paper 3 and 4 is two hours and for rest of the papers across levels is three hours. There is no sectional time limit in CA exams.
Yes, the candidates can apply for scorecard verification after the result announcement. The facility is available for all three course levels. The window for rechecking of a particular CA course opens a day after announcement of the result. Candidates can apply for scorecard verification within a month of result announcement along with a demand draft of INR 200 in favour of the Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, payable at New Delhi. The fee is non-refundable and the result of rechecking will be final. Students can’t apply for rechecking more than once.

Yes, ICAI CA Intermediate exam is tough. There are total 6 papers, divided into 2 groups, in CA Inter exam. The syllabus includes topics related to Accounting, Taxation, Corporate Law, etc., which are tough to crack. The pass percentage of CA Intermediate exams is very low - 10%.
Minimum score requirement to pass CA Intermediate is 40% per paper and 50% overall. If a candidate scores 60% or more in one subject and fails another subject, he/she can apply for exemption, if all requirements are met.
According to the marking scheme and CA Intermediate exam pattern, the total marks in CA Intermediate is 100 marks per paper.
