GUJCET 2026: GSEB is expected to start the GUJCET 2026 application correction window soon. Candidates who submitted the application form sucessfully will be able to make changes in the details during this period. After the correction window is closed, the exam body will issue the GUJCET admit card 2026 at gujcet.gseb.org. The GUJCET 2026 exam date is March 29, 2026.

What is GUJCET?

The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) is a state-level entrance test conducted to shortlist candidates for admission into B.Tech and B.Pharm programs are offered by various colleges in Gujarat. The exam is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB). The allotment of seats is done based on scores obtained in the entrance exam.

Changes in the GUJCET exam over the years

As per the official announcement from the exam body last year, two new changes were brought in. They are as follows:

  • Marks in subjects other than Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in class 12 will also be considered for preparing the merit list.
  • Out of total seats in government colleges, 5 percent of seats will be filled through JEE Main 2026 score, while the remaining 95 percent of seats will be filled through GUJCET 2026.

Five-Year Exam Analysis (2021-2025)

From 2021 to 2025, GUJCET has consistently maintained a moderate to difficult level. The question papers follow GSEB and NCERT syllabi. As shared by students during the exam analysis,  the Maths section is considered the most challenging and time-consuming. It is lengthy and heavily focuses on Calculus (35% weightage), 3D Geometry, and Vectors. 

Physics is generally moderate to difficult level, with high weightage on Electromagnetism, Optics, and Modern Physics. The question paper is evolved to become more conceptual and application-based. 

On the other hand, Chemistry is easy, 90% of the questions are from NCERT textbooks, based on Organic Chemistry and Physical Chemistry

For Pharmacy aspirants, Biology section remains straightforward and questions are focused on Human and Plant Physiology.

GUJCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria: Who can apply?

Candidates must check the GUJCET 2026 eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. The candidature of aspirants not fulfill their eligibility requirements will be rejected. As prescribed by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, the eligibility criteria are mentioned below-

GUJCET Application Form 2026: Step by Step Guide to Register

The GUJCET application form 2026 was released by GUJCET on December 16, 2025. Students could fill the application form from gujcet.gseb.org till January 16, 2026. Earlier the last date to apply was, January 6, 2026. However, with this extension, students had to pay late fee of INR 1000. The application process of GUJCET 2026 had following steps - 

  • Registration

Registration: The candidates must apply by entering their Email ID and mobile Number. They must also create a password of their choice, which they have to use for future login

Pay Application Fees: After registration, pay the GUJCET application fees. online using a credit/debit card or internet banking.

Filling the Application Form: Candidates can log in using their Email ID or Mobile Number and the password created to open the application form. Here are the following steps to apply -

GSEB will release GUJCET answer key 2026 after exam is conducted. First, authorities will release provisional answer key, followed by GUJCET 2026 final answer key PDF. The final answer key will be released by the exam authority following a review of all complaints. How to Challenge GUJCET Answer Key 2026?

  • To challenge the answer key, GSEB releases a form
  • Fill the formats per the instructions mentioned in it
  • In the form, mention the question paper number and the question number, which a candidate want to challenge
  • For every question, a candidate has to pay a fee of Rs.500/- through e-challan
  • After filling the form and completing the payment formalities, email it to the gujcetkey@gmail.com
  • Also, provide Bank account number, Bank Name, IFSC Code, and Bank Branch

GUJCET 2026 Counselling

The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) will conduct the GUJCET counselling 2026. The registration for GUJCET 2026 counselling will start after the results are declared. Candidates will be able to register for the GUJCET counselling 2026 online. Candidates with valid GUJCET 2026 scores will have to participate in the GUJCET counselling for B.Tech admission. The seat will be allotted to a candidate based on the scores in the GUJCET 2026 exam.
