GUJCET Exam Pattern 2026: The exam body, Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, mentions the GUJCET 2026 exam pattern. Candidates can also check the GUJCET paper pattern here to know the basic details about the exam, such as the total number of questions, exam duration, number of sections, and marking scheme. The GUJCET 2026 exam will be conducted in offline mode as a pen-and-paper-based test. There will be two papers in the GUJCET 2026 exam wherein Paper 1 will comprise questions in Physics and Chemistry and Paper 2 will comprise questions in Mathematics. The exam will have a total of 120 questions of 1 mark each, 40 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The total duration of exam is 3 hours. There will be negative marking of 0.25 in case of incorrect answer. Candidates should also check the GUJCET question papers to understand the exam pattern. Checking the GUJCET previous year question papers will also help candidates to understand the weightage of subject-wise topics and the difficulty level of the exam. GUJCET Exam Pattern 2026

As per the pattern of the GUJCET 2026, the exam will have two papers, Paper 1 which will have questions from Physics, and Chemistry, and Paper 2 which will have questions from Mathematics.  

The first paper, Paper 1 will be held in the morning shift and will consist of 80 questions, 40 each from Physics and Chemistry, and the total duration of the paper will be 120 minutes. The second paper, Paper 2 will be held in the afternoon shift and will consist of 80 questions, 40 each from Mathematics and Biology.

Engineering aspirants will be required to solve only the Mathematics part of Paper 2 while the Pharmacy aspirants will have to solve the Biology section. Candidates can check the below table for more details about the GUJCET 2026 exam pattern.

GUJCET 2026 Marking Scheme

As per the exam pattern of GUJCET 2026, each question will carry one mark. Therefore, the question paper will be 120 marks. There is a provision for negative marking too wherein 0.25 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Being an entrance exam there are no course fees for the same. However, after you get admission into the college you will have to pay the college fees which will depend upon the college and GUJCET doesn't have any say in that.
