Applicants seeking admission to engineering courses can attempt the JEE Mains up to six times over three consecutive years. The NTA conducts the JEE Main exam twice annually. Candidates are advised to review the eligibility criteria before registering for the exam. 

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2025 session 2 exam on April 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8. For Paper 2, the JEE Main 2025 exam date is April 9. Applicants appearing in the exam can check JEE Main 2025 Chemistry important topics from below.

NTA conducts JEE Main 2025 exam for a duration of three hours in online computer-based mode. People with disabilities will get 60 minutes extra time to attempt JEE Main 2025 exam. Candidates appearing in the exam are advised to manage their time effectively.  

NTA will release the JEE Main 2025 cutoff along with the declaration of session 2 result. Applicants will be able to check the JEE Main cutoffs at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main cutoff 2025 will be released separately for all the categories. Candidates can check JEE Main previous year cutoff from the table provided below.  

Candidates need to carry a valid photo ID proof along with the JEE Mains admit card 2025. A list of valid photo ID proofs applicable for JEE Main 2025 exam is provided below.  

• School Identity Card   

• PAN card  

• Driving License  

• Voter ID  

• Passport  

• Aadhaar Card (With photograph)  

• E-Aadhaar with photograph

NTA has allowed certain items to be carried inside the exam centre along with JEE Main 2025 admit card. A list of items allowed to be carried inside JEE Main exam centre 2025 is provided below. 

• Any one photo ID proof among Aadhar/PAN/Driving License/Voter ID  

• One passport-size photo  

• Medical certificate by PwD/PwBD candidates availing scribe service 

NTA released the JEE Main self-declaration form along with the hall ticket. Candidates who fail to carry any valid photo ID proof to the exam centre have to fill the JEE Main declaration form. Applicants with valid photo ID proof are not required to fill JEE declaration form. 

IIT Kanpur has released the JEE Advanced 2025 exam date at the official website. As per the schedule, the JEE Advanced exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 18. The authorities will release the JEE Advanced 2025 application form on April 23. The last date to fill application form is May 2.  

NTA will commence the JEE Main 2025 April 8 shift 2 exam at 3 PM. The authorities has restricted applicants from carrying certain items inside the JEE Main exam centre 2025. A list of items not allowed to carry inside JEE exam hall 2025 is provided below.  

• Geometry or Pencil box  

• Handbag  

• Purse  

• Any kind of Paper/ Stationery/ Textual material (printed or written material)   

• Eatables and Water (loose or packed)   

• Mobile Phone/ Earphone/ Microphone/ Pager   

• Calculator   

• DocuPen  

• Slide Rules  

• Any metallic item or electronic gadgets/ devices in the Examination Hall/Room. 

NTA mentions the JEE Main exam timings 2025 in the official notification. Candidates are advised to follow the JEE Main exam timings to avoid being late for the exam. NTA will conduct JEE Main 2025 April 8 exam in shift 2 only from 3 to 6 PM. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their JEE Main admit card 2025 along with one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.
