NTA will conduct JEE Main 2025 Paper 2 tomorrow, i.e., April 9, 2025. 

• Download the JEE Mains answer key
• First, the candidates will have to compare their responses to the correct answers.
• Next, the marking scheme has to be followed.
• The total calculated will be the probable scores secured in JEE Main 2025.
• However, the calculated scores will be indicative and may differ from the result.

There may be cases when two or more candidates have secured the same score in JEE Main 2025. The listed guidelines will be followed in the given order to break the tie.

• Candidates obtaining a higher Percentile Score in Mathematics will be ranked higher
• If a tie still exists, the candidate with a higher Percentile Score in Physics will be given a higher rank
• If a tie still exists, the candidate obtaining a higher Percentile Score in Chemistry will get a higher rank
• If a tie still exists, candidates older in age will be given a preference

JEE Main 2025 April 8 will be held in the afternoon shift, i.e., from 3 PM to 6 PM. 

IIT Kanpur will conduct JEE Advanced 2025 on May 18, 2025. The candidates will be able to access the JEE Advanced 2025 registration link online from April 23, 2025.

Along with the JEE Main 2025 admit card, the candidates will have to bring their any one of their valid ID proof i.e., Aadhaar Card/Voter ID/PAN Card/Passport/School ID.

A 99.5 percentile in JEE Main roughly corresponds to an All India Rank (AIR) between 7,000 and 9,000, depending on the total number of candidates.

JEE Main 2025 April 8 will be held in one shift. The exam will commence at 3 PM and conclude at 6 PM.

• Candidates should carry a clean and fresh admit card with details printed clearly. If possible, multiple copies of JEE Mains 2025 admit card should be carried.
• The candidates should arrive at the centre at least one hour before the exam time.
• A valid photo ID, with a photograph (similar as the one uploaded during application form filling) will be required at the centre.

• Candidates are advised to wear simple and light clothes without any metallic embellishments.
• Avoid carrying electronic gadgets or food items
• Candidates can carry a transparent water bottle and a pen for doing rough work.

• Candidates are not allowed to wear shoes/footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons.
• Candidates must avoid wearing anything that can hinder the frisking process.
• Wear simple clothing and avoid clothes with many pockets.
• Candidates who are required to wear religious/custom attire must reach the exam centres as early as possible to thoroughly check and frisk.

NTA conducts JEE Main exam twice a year- January and April. Applicants looking for admissions can appear for JEE Mains exam for a maximum of six times in consecutive years.

NTA will announce the JEE Main 2025 final result before April 17. The final result will include the JEE Main 2025 cutoff for JEE Advanced and the candidates' All India Ranks.

Candidates can take only these items inside the exam hall:

NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2025 April session official answer key in the second week of April 2025. The result is expected by April 17.

Candidates who will be appearing for the JEE Main 2025 April 8 exam must carry the printed copy of the JEE Main 2025 admit card along with all the required documents to the exam centre.

JEE Main 2025 April 8 will be held today in the second shift, i.e., from 3 PM to 6 PM. There is no morning shift.

Percentile in JEE Main reflects your relative performance, i.e., what percentage of students scored below you. On the other hand, the JEE Main rank is your position among all candidates, used for admission. Percentile helps normalize scores across sessions; rank decides your college.

A percentile of 90–95 is typically sufficient for GFTIs, depending on the branch and institute. Candidates may also secure core branches or less competitive specializations in colleges like IIEST Shibpur or Punjab Engineering College.
