JEE Main 2025 April 3 Shift 1 Paper Analysis by Aakash
- Most students found Physics section moderate. There were more numerical questions. Topics were fairly balanced, with significant weightage given to Mechanics, Electrostatics, Optics, and Units & Measurements. However, Modern Physics and Magnetism had fewer questions, and notably, EMI and AC chapters were not covered.
- Chemistry was rated easy to moderate. Almost all chapters were included, with Inorganic and Physical Chemistry carrying most weight, while Organic Chemistry had fewer questions. Most theoretical questions were directly taken from NCERT, making them straightforward, although a few required extra time to solve.
- Mathematics was moderate to difficult, with questions well distributed across various topics. Key areas such as Matrices, 3D Geometry, Vectors, Conic Sections, Calculus, and Determinants were prominently featured. Some questions, however, were lengthy and time consuming, adding to challenge.
JEE Main 2025 April 2 Shift 1 Paper Analysis by Aakash
- Mathematics: Moderate. Paper had a strong focus on Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, and Algebra. Some students noted that Vector and 3D Geometry questions were present, but not difficult. A few lengthy calculations in certain questions made time management crucial, but overall difficulty was balanced. Numerical section had lengthy calculations.
- Physics: Moderate Difficulty. More weightage given to Mechanics, Electrostatics & Current Electricity. Chapters included Kinematics, Gravitation, Rotational Motion, SHM, Laws of Motion, Magnetism, Ray Optics, Modern Physics, Work Power & Energy, Heat & Thermodynamics. Numerical based questions were easy. A few fact based questions from class XII chapters of NCERT were also asked.
- Chemistry: Easy. Organic Chemistry was given more weightage compared to Inorganic Chemistry. Questions asked from GOC, Amines, Aldehyde & Ketones, Chemical Bonding, Electrochemistry, Mole Concepts, Coordination Compounds, Liquid Solutions, Atomic Structure, Chemical kinetics, Alcohol, Ether & Phenol, Biomolecules, Aryl & Alkyl halides. NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.
Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main are mentioned below:
- Physics: Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy.
- Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry.
- Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.
Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.
