AILET PG Eligibility Criteria 2026
- To apply for LLM program entrance exam, candidates must have attained their LLB degree or an equivalent law degree with a minimum 50% scores from a recognized institute.
- However, SC/ST/PwD category candidates must score a minimum 45% aggregate score in their LLB course.
- Candidates who are appearing for their final year/semester of their LLB program are also eligible to appear for the AILET exam.

- Candidates applying for the exam must have passed class 12 exams with atleast 45% scores from a recognized institute.
- The relaxation of 5% is there is the qualifying exam for the SC/ST/PwD category candidates; therefore they must score a minimum 40% aggregate score in their class 12.
- However, OBC Category candidates must score a minimum of 42% in their class 12.

Following criteria will be adopted to deal with situations where two or more candidates get the same score:
- If two or more candidates get the same marks at the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), their merit will be determined based on higher marks in the section on LOGICAL REASONING in the AILET 2026.
- If the merit is still the same, then the candidate senior in age shall get preference. If there is still no change in merit, then a computerized draw of lots shall be taken into consideration.

No, without the admit card aspirants will not be allowed to appear in the exam. Candidates must ensure that they carry at least two printed copies of the admit card to the exam centre. The admit card's hard copy is mandatory to be presented at the time of appearing in the exam. The hard copy/print out of the AILET admit card is the only valid proof of identification and verification which is acceptable at the AILET test centre. Can I change the AILET Exam centre after release of admit card?
No, the allotted exam centre cannot be changed at any stage after submission of the application form. Candidates will have to appear at the allotted test centre only. However, any incorrect detail related to the exam centre on the admit card can be reported to NLU Delhi to get it corrected.The National Law University Delhi (NLUD) will conduct the pen-and-paper-based AILET 2025 exam on December 8, 2024 (2 pm - 4 pm). The exam will be held in 24 cities across the country. Each of these exam cities may have one or more test centres. The candidate had to select their choice of exam cities at the time of filling out the AILET 2024 application form. A maximum of THREE cities could be selected (in the order of priority).

Is there negative marking in AILET 2026 Exam?
Candidates must note that the AILET Exam 2026 has negative marking too. The criteria for negative marking will be based on the formula 0.25*4=1 that means per wrong answer 0.25 Marks will be deducted. Therefore, four wrong answers will lead to deduction of 1 Mark. Candidates must be very careful while attempting the questions paper of AILET 2026. Candidates are advised to solve mock tests and previous years' question papers to get hand on things. Candidates must keep track of time while practicing for AILET 2026 exam.

Why is AILET conducted?
AILET exam is conducted for admission to the 5-year integrated courses and LLM courses offered at the National Law University Delhi. Aspiring candidates will have to register for the entrance exam before the last date to sit for the exam. NLU Delhi offeres 110+10 total seats (110 seats on AILET merit; 5 seats each for Foreign Nationals and OCI/PIO for direct admission on merit). However, the Foreign Nationals/OCI/PIO are exempted from AILET but should have 65% marks in the qualifying examination.

- To apply for LLM program entrance exam, candidates must have attained their LLB degree or an equivalent law degree with a minimum 50% scores from a recognized institute.
- However, SC/ST/PwD category candidates must score a minimum 45% aggregate score in their LLB course.

- The relaxation of 5% is there is the qualifying exam for the SC/ST/PwD category candidates; therefore they must score a minimum 40% aggregate score in their class 12.
- However, OBC Category candidates must score a minimum of 42% in their class 12.
