As per the official notification released by NTA, the marking scheme for JEE Main 2025 is outlined below. Candidates can refer to this marking scheme to calculate their estimated scores:
- Correct Answer: +4 marks
- Incorrect Answer: -1 mark
- Unanswered/Marked for Review: No marks awarded or deducted
Using this scheme, candidates can estimate their scores by applying the formula:
Estimated Score = (Number of correct answers × 4) - (Number of incorrect answers × 1).

The NTA has released official JEE Main answer key 2025 session 1. NTA JEE Main 2025 Answer Key session 1 is available on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates can login to the website and download their NTA answer key 2025 session 2. Coaching institutes have released the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 Answer key on memory-based question paper and the same can be checked here.
Step 1: Download the JEE Main 2025 Resonance Answer Key PDF.
Step 2: Compare your responses from the exam with the answers provided in the Resonance answer key.
Step 3: For every correct answer, add 4 marks, and for every incorrect answer, subtract 1 mark.
Step 4: Calculate the total marks to determine your probable JEE Main 2025 score.
JEE Main 2024 Answer Key by Resonance
Candidates will be able to raise objections against the provisional JEE Main answer key 2024 online. For every objection, the candidates will have to pay INR 500. The fee payment has to be done online i.e., through credit card/debit card/net banking. If the candidates do not pay the required fee then their objections will not be accepted. Along with the fee, the candidates will also have to submit the supporting proof for the objections.
NTA will release the JEE Main Answer key 2026 around 2-3 days after the conclusion of the exam. The link to check JEE Main answer key 2026 will be available on the website jeemain.nta.nic.in. candidates can download JEE Main answer key response sheet by login to the website. Candidates have to use JEE Main login available at he website for JEE Main answer key download.
In case the JEE Main answer key challenge raised by the candidate is accepted, the NTA will send an email to the registered email address mentioning the details of question for which the objections has been accepted. The NTA will also send the details of correct answer for the questions.
