The eligibility criteria for Integrated Programme in Management at IIM Ranchi is already defined by the college in a clear manner. IIM Ranchi Admission Process and Important Dates 2026
The mode of Indian Institute of Management Ranchi course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on merit, written ability tests, personal interview rounds, and entrance exam scores. For admission to its flagship Post Graduate Program in Management (PGPM/ MBA) and Executive MBA programmes, the institute accepts CAT scores. After the release of CAT results, the institute shortlists candidates based on their CAT scores, work experience, academic performance, and several other factors for the WAT and PI rounds.
Candidates must apply online for the CAT exam to participate in the IIM Ranchi admission process. CAT registrations usually start in August every year. No, IIM Ranchi does not provide direct admissions to any of the IIM Ranchi courses. The institute has a predefined admission process that all candidates need to follow.
- The first stage includes meeting the eligibility criteria. Candidates can check eligibility for all courses here. After matching the eligibility criteria, the candidate has to appear for the respective entrance examination.
Note: Admission to Executive MBA is done through Personal Interview only. The candidates are not required to appear for any entrance exam.
- The candidates who are able to meet the cut-off are then communicated for the second round which is a PI (Personal Interview) round.
- The final stage includes admission offers for IIM Ranchi, based on a Consolidated Merit List (CML), which is generally prepared based on entrance exam scores, personal interview scores, and academic profile.
IPMAT application process 2025 started on February 14, 2025. The registration window will be open for approximately a month. The last date to apply for IIM Indore IPM was March 27, 2025. IPMAT 2025 was conducted on May 12, 2025. The complete schedule of IPMAT exam was announced online and is also available on the official website of IIM Indore.
The application schedule for IIFT and IIM Amritsar will be announced on their official websites. The IPMAT application process begins with the IPMAT registration and application fee payment. Candidates need to submit their IPMAT application form before the deadline. Candidates will have to choose the their preferred institutes as well as test centres while filling the IPMAT application form. Candidates can apply for all the institutes which accept IPMAT scores after the results are declared and they match the cutoff criteria.
Aspirants can join the IIM Ranchi IPM course after class 12. It is full time 5-year integrated course comprising Undergraduate and postgraduate management programmes (BBA-MBA). At the completion of IPM students will be awarded an MBA degree.
- For admission at IIM Ranchi in IPM, candidates are required to appear for the IPMAT examination followed by PI round which will be conducted virtually by IIM Ranchi.
- The total fees for the first three years of the programme will be around INR 16 lakh.The fees for the next two years will be equal to the MBA programme fees set for that year.
- The programme is designed to provide a multidisciplinary foundation borrowing from Humanities, Social Sciences, Arts, and Sciences. The IIM Ranchi MBA cutoff 2024 was released for MBA and other courses. IIM Ranchi cutoffs are based on the CAT scores. The minimum CAT percentile for IIM Ranchi is around 93. The percentile may ranges between 40 to 75 for the categories such as NC-OBC, ST, SC, etc. Candidate a must qualify the CAT exam to get admission to the MBA programme. According to the same, IIM Ranchi placements 2025 recorded over 81 companies visiting the campus with the overall highest package for MBA placements being INR 50.39 LPA, while the average package stood at INR 19.29 LPA. The top sector that recruited students was the BFSI & Fintech sector. However, the highest salary of INR 50.39 LPA was offered by the Sales & Marketing sector.
For the MBA HR course, IIM Ranchi placements 2025 recorded the highest and average packages at INR 35.3 LPA and INR 19.02 LPA, respectively. As for the MBA BA students, the 2025 highest and average packages were INR 27.94 LPA and INR 19.86 LPA, respectively. No, the candidates do not have to pay any fee for CAT form correction. The facility is provided to candidates free of cost. However, if they have made an error in a field that will not be available for editing during form correction, then they will have to fill a fresh form before the submission deadline and pay the CAT application fee again. Once submitted, the form will not be editable but of photo, signature and test city.
