SSC MTS Full Form

The full form of the SSC MTS exam is Staff Selection Commission Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff Examination. The SSC MTS and Havaldar exam is a national-level exam and the exam centres are located in all the major cities across the nation. SSC conducted the MTS Paper 1 as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE) in multiple shifts at the designated exam centres across the nation. 'SSC MTS and Havaldar Paper 2' was removed from the exam in 2022. 

SSC MTS Exam Pattern 2025

The Commission notifies the exam pattern in the official notification. SSC MTS and Havaldar Paper 1 (CBT) will be conducted based on the exam pattern given in the official notification. The SSC MTS and Havaldar exam pattern was notified in the official notification.

The SSC MTS and Havaldar exam will be conducted in October/November 2025, as per the exam pattern shown above. The new exam pattern has increased the weightage of General Awareness and English in the selection process. The questions will be set in English, Hindi, and 13 regional languages.

Negative Marking in SSC MTS and Havaldar Exam

SSC MTS and Havaldar paper 1 has a negative marking of the quantum of one by four. It implies that the one-by-fourth marks (of the marks assigned to that question) of the candidates will be deducted for each incorrect answer marked in the SSC MTS and Havaldar answer key online. The candidates can envisage the negative marking in the manner given below:

The candidates can calculate their marks by adding the marks scored through the correct answer and deducting the marks from the negative marking. No marks will be deducted for the unattempted questions. 

The Staff Selection Commission will release the SSC MTS 2025 cutoff with the result. The Commission will mention the state-wise and force-wise SSC MTS cutoff for the MTS and Havaldar posts. The candidates need to score equal to or more than the category cutoff to get promoted to the next tier of the exam. The SSC MTS and Havaldar cutoff marks the last qualified candidate in a particular category. The SSC MTS and Havaldar paper 1 is conducted as CBT. The marks of the candidates are normalised to provide a level playing field to all candidates. The cutoff is the normalised marks of the last selected candidate in a particle category. SSC MTS and Havaldar Cutoff is released for each category for each state separately.

The Staff Selection Commission released the tentative answer key and invited the representation from the candidates against the incorrect questions and answers as mentioned in the question paper or answer key. The candidates will be required to send their objections through the integrated platform -ssc.digialm.com.
