JENPAS UG 2026 exam is a highly sought-after offline entrance exam, which is conducted for admission to the top nursing & paramedical colleges in the state of West Bengal. A candidate seeking admission to the best nursing institutes in the domain must understand the admission criteria for securing a seat in the BSc nursing and paramedical courses offered by the Government and Private institutes in the state.

To grant admission, JENPAS UG counselling process is conducted by the WBJEEB in online mode. This process ensures that transparency is maintained in college allocation. Q:   Do I need to pay any seat acceptance fee for admission via JENPAS UG exam?
A: 

As per the guidelines issued by WBJEEB, a seat acceptance fee of INR 1000/- (Rupees one thousand only) must be paid to download the allotment letter. If the candidate fails to pay the seat acceptance fee, the current allotment will be cancelled. The candidate will not be considered for further rounds as well. The counselling process will be carried out online through the official website.

Who can apply for admission?

As per the guidelines issued by WBJEEB, not all candidates can apply to the BSc nursing course through JENPAS UG. Know who can apply to which type of college here:

  1. Only Indian Citizens can apply.
  2. Only Female candidates are eligible for admission in the BSc Nursing course in Government colleges. Males are not eligible for admission to government institutes for pursuing a nursing course.
  3. Female candidates can also apply for admission to private colleges. There are a few private colleges meant for Male candidates only.
  4. Both Male and Female candidates are eligible for admission to paramedical courses in both Government and Private Colleges, except for the BSc Nursing programme.

There is no limit on the number of attempts for JENPAS UG. Candidate can take the JENPAS UG exam for multiple time provided he or she fulfill the eligibility criteria.

The JENPAS UG exam has two papers- Paper I and Paper II. Each paper is of 115 marks. Candidates who are appearing for both papers need to obtain minimum 130 to 150 marks to pass the exam. However, those who obtain the cutoff are shortlisted for Counselling round.
