JENPAS UG Counselling 2026: Dates, Registration, Seat Allotment Result, Institute Reporting

JENPAS UG 2026 counselling process involves several steps, which are mentioned below:

• Counselling Registration: The JENPAS UG counselling window will be available for those candidates whose names appear in the merit list at the time of the JENPAS UG result. Candidates must participate in the counselling process to seek admission to the preferred government college. The counselling application process is deemed to be complete only when the counselling application fee is paid at the portal. 
• JENPAS UG Choice Filling: At this stage, candidates must enter the choice of colleges in which they wish to seek admission. Candidates must lock their selections after they have made their decision. After locking the selections, it is not possible to change/modify them.
• Rounds of Counselling: Candidates for round I of counselling will be called in the order of merit. Following round 1, applicants who do not get seats, whose allocation will be revoked, or who opted for an upgrade are eligible to compete in round 2. Candidates who do not participate in previous rounds or whose seats were cancelled previously will be assigned seats in round 3.

JENPAS UG Seat Allotment Result: It will be announced by the conducting body. Candidates will be able to check their seat allocation online via the website. In each round of counselling, candidates would be assigned seats at various institutions temporarily. Seat Allotment is done based on the inputs provided by the candidate. If at any stage it is found on scrutiny by any concerned authority that the applicant is not eligible for the allotment, his/her allotment/ admission shall be treated as cancelled.

Document verification is the responsibility of the allotted Institute, and WBJEEB will not conduct this process. Selected candidates will personally report to the institute, carrying printed copies of their allotment letters and all academic and other documents for physical verification of documents by the institute.

The following documents, in original and one self-attested copy of each, will be required at the time of counselling:

1. Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
2. JENPAS UG Rank card
3. Class 10th admit card/birth certificate
4.  Class 12th mark sheet
5. An Undertaking from the candidate (as per Performa)
6. Unique Allotment ID (from candidate’s login)
7. Mobile phone with the mobile number registered while filling the application to receive OTP at the final stage of admission confirmation.
8. W.B. Domicile certificate
9. SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B certificates by the competent authority (if applicable)
10. EWS certificate (if applicable)
11. PWD certificate (if applicable)

The seat allotment can be cancelled if the candidate is not eligible for the present allotment due to his/her actual academic scores, category certificates, etc. Such candidates will be automatically considered in the next round with their revised academic scores/category, etc.
