The JENPAS UG exam pattern 2025 will be released by the exam conducting body for the academic year 2026-27. The JENPAS UG exam pattern remains the same as the previous year. The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) is the official exam conducting body of the Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical and Allied Sciences Undergraduate (JENPAS UG) 2025. Q: How many papers are there in JENPAS (UG) Entrance Test?

JENPAS (UG)-2025 entrance test will consist of two papers namely, Paper-I (For all courses other than BHA) and Paper-II (For BHA only). Candidates will have to appear for both the exams.

Q: How many sections are there in the JENPAS UG entrance exam?

In JENPAS UG exam there will be five sections namely, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English, and Logical Reasoning. In each section there will be 20 MCQs. Questions from the physics, chemistry, and biology section will be of 25 marks per section. Questions from English and LR will be of 20 marks per section. In all there will 100 questions of 115 marks.

Q: Is JENPAS UG an easy or difficult entrance exam?

JENPAS UG is an offline (Pen & Paper Mode) entrance exam conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). As per the exam analysis conducted for the previous year exams, it is a moderately difficult exam. A good preparation strategy will help candidates appear for the exam without much difficulty. JENPAS UG is conducted for the duration of 1.5 hours each for 2 papers (each carries 50 questions). The JENPAS UG exam will have 100 objective-type questions. There will be four options against each question. The candidate will have to choose one correct option among the four choices. The UG level entrance exam will be conducted in pen and paper format (offline mode). A duration of 90 minutes (1.5 hours) will be allotted to attempt the exam.

JENPAS UG Marking Scheme 2025

As per the JENPAS UG marking scheme, a total of 115 marks will be divided among 100 questions. Further, there are two types of questions, Category I and Category II. Q: What is the mode of answering question in the JENPAS UG entrance exam?

JENPAS UG entrance exam questions are to be answered on specially designed optical machine-readable response (OMR) sheet, which will be evaluated by Optical Mark Recognition method. Candidates will indicate response to the questions by darkening the appropriate circle/bubble completely with blue/black ink ballpoint pen.

Q: Is there any negative marking in JENPAS UG exam?

No, there is no negative marking in JENPAS UG exam for category-II questions. In both paper I and paper II, there will be two categories of questions in the exam. The category-II questions will not attract any negative marking for the candidates. Salient features of category-II questions are: Candidates is free to choose one/more options. Not attempting the questions will lead to 0 marks. However, for Category I questions, - ¼ (25% negative) marks will be deducted for choosing incorrect options.

Q: Will I be able to change the responses once entered in the JENPAS UG OMR sheet?

Response marked in the JENPAS UG OMR sheet cannot be edited/changed/erased/modified. Filling the circle/bubble incompletely, filling with pencil, cross mark, tick mark, dot mark, circular mark, over writing, scratching, erasing, white ink, marking outside the circle/bubble etc. is not allowed to answer the questions.
