Q:   What type of questions are asked in JENPAS UG exam?

In JENPAS UG entrance exam, there will be objective type questions. Candidates will be given MCQ-type questions with four options each. Out of the four options, only one option will be correct. In case the candidate choses the incorrect option, 0.25 mark (one-fourth mark) will be deducted. 

Q:   What is the JENPAS UG marking scheme?
A: 

There will be MCQs in the JENPAS UG exam. Each question will carry four options. Only one option will be correct. Correct response will yield 1 (one) mark for each question. The question paper will carry 100 questions of total 115 marks.

Q:   How many sections are there in the JENPAS UG entrance exam?
A: 

In JENPAS UG exam there will be five sections namely, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Basic English, and Logical Reasoning. In each section there will be 20 MCQs. Questions from the physics, chemistry, and biology section will be of 25 marks per section. Questions from English and LR will be of 20 marks per section. In all there will 100 questions of 115 marks.

JENPAS UG Preparation Strategy – One Month Before the Exam 

With merely 30 days left for the exam, it is the time when the countdown begins. Follow the strategy given below to excel in the exam:

  1. Revise from Notes: Pick the notes prepared for the last 30 days before the exam and revise all important topics. Notes and pointers come in handy in this situation and will enable the aspirant to take a look at the entire syllabus.
  2. Work on your Weaknesses: It is important to know the weaknesses in the first place while preparing for the exam. Once you know your weaker area, prepare notes that can be used a month before the D-day to strengthen the preparation.
  3. Sharpen your strengths: It is important to focus on the areas and topics where you are good at to maximise the chances of scoring well in the exam.

JENPAS UG exam pattern is decided by the exam conductinb body, West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB). When the official notification is released, WBJEEB releases an exam prospectus in which the JENPAS UG exam pattern gets elaborated for the applicants. In case of any changes in the JENPAS UG exam pattern, WBJEEB will mention about it, in the exam prospectus. 

Q:   Will JENPAS UG exam be provided in Bengali language?

The JENPAS UG questions will be provided in both English and Bengali language (except Basic English and Logical Reasoning). Candidates will have to prepare for the exam accordingly.

A right strategy to follow for exam preparation is to have a subject-wise preparation plan to ace the BSc nursing entrance exam. Let us find out how to prepare for it:

  1. Physics: Being one of the toughest subjects, candidates must pay special attention to the topics of this subject first. The important topics from this subject are mentioned in the syllabus. Candidates are advised to make short notes of the formulas and definitions from the chapters expected in the exam.  
  2. Chemistry: Another subject that is equally tough to tame is chemistry. It requires equal dedication and revision of reactions and chemical equations. Candidates are advised to revise the Periodic Table and Equilibrium concepts to firm their hold on the subject.

The JENPAS UG exam has two papers- Paper I and Paper II. Each paper is of 115 marks. Candidates who are appearing for both papers need to obtain minimum 130 to 150 marks to pass the exam. However, those who obtain the cutoff are shortlisted for Counselling round.
