GNAT 2026: Exam Dates, Application Form, Eligibility, Syllabus, Results

GITAM Nursing Admission Test (GNAT) is conducted by Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management (GITAM). The exam is a gateway for admission to BSc Nursing. Aspirants must note that only female candidates can apply to the course. 

GNAT 2017 is now over. The exam was conducted on August 28, 2017.

The dates for GNAT 2018 have not been announced yet. However, the application process is expected to begin in the first week of September, 2018 and will continue till third week of September, 2018. The exam is expected to be conducted in the fourth week of September, 2018. Candidates who clear the entrance exam will further be called in for the counselling session. The exam will be conducted from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. 

GITAM University offers a full-time 4-year course which is inclusive of an internship period. 

GNAT 2018 eligibility is as follows:

• Only female candidates are eligible to apply for GNAT
• The candidates should be or shall attain the age of 17 years as on 31^st December, 2018
• The aspirants should have cleared 10+2 from a recognized board under AISSCE / CBSE / ICSE / SSCE / HSCE or other equivalent Board with Science (PCB) & English Core /English Elective
• The candidates should have secured 45% marks in the qualifying exam
• The candidate should be medically fit
• Candidates appearing in 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Institute of Open School must have obtained 45% marks

Step 1: Fill in the Application form

Candidates willing to appear for GNAT must make sure that they fill the application form before the deadline. The application fee is Rs 300 which can be paid online through Debit Card / Credit Card (Master / VISA) or offline through Demand Draft. 

Step 2: Download GNAT 2018 Admit Card

Admit cards will be allotted to candidates who register successfully for the exam. The officials will upload the admit card online and test-takers can download the same from the University’s official website. 

Step 3: Appear for GNAT 2018

GNAT will be conducted in pen and paper based mode. The paper will consist of 100 Multiple Choice Questions. Test-takers will be asked questions on Biology (Botany + Zoology), Chemistry, and Physics. 

Step 4: Check GNAT 2018 Result

The officials will declare the result online, and test-takers can check their ranks by visiting the University’s official website. In case two or more candidates obtain the same marks, the University will resolve the ties.

Step 5: Counselling

After the results are declared, shortlisted candidates need to appear for the counselling round. The candidates are required to be present in person along with the required documents for the counselling. The counselling will be held at GITAM University, Visakhapatnam campus.

Candidates can select their preferred exam centre while filling the application form. However, the final allotment of exam centre shall be done by the University. Candidates can check the allotted exam centre on the admit card. 

GNAT 2018 will be conducted at the following exam centres: 

Test-takers must ensure that they reach the exam centre at least an hour before the reporting time. The admit card will contain details regarding reporting time. Candidates who are new to the state are advised to check the venue at least a day before the examination. 

It must be noted that the University has the right to change the exam centre at any given point of time subject to availability of seats.

Candidates must make sure that they carry their admit cards to the exam. Failing to do so will refrain the candidate from entering the exam hall.
