PB BSc or Post Basic BSc Nursing is a 2 year undergraduate nursing course specialisation for registered nurses with an ANM certificate or GNM diploma. 

It is a good degree for students who want to move from basics to more advanced education if they want to pursue roles in leadership or teaching.

Q:   Which specialisation is better OBGYN or Neonatal?
A: 

Comparing two nursing courses and deciding the better course is subjective to each student. If we talk about comparing Obstetrics & Gynaecology Nursing and Neonatal, Infant & Newborn Nursing, it depends entirely if the student wants to care for the mother or the child. The OBGYN specialisation focuses on women's reproductive health, labour, pregnancy and postpartum care. The neonatal specialisation is more about newborns. It aims at childcare, premature birth, illness or defects after birth.

Q:   I am 32 years old. Can I still pursue BSc Nursing?

Yes,  you can. According to the Indian Nursing Council, the minimum age of an applicant must be 17 years,  whereas the maximum limit is 35 years. You will need verified documents like 12th marksheet, Aadhar Card, etc.

SRM Medical College offers various courses related to the field of Medicine for candidates to choose from. The admission process to the courses can be both entrance-based or merit-based. Candidates must check the eligibility and selection criteria of their desired course and proceed accordingly.
