DCET Result 2026: How to Download Scorecard, Details Mentioned

DCET rank card 2026 mentions the qualifying status of the candidates. Candidates can check the list of details that are printed on the KEA DCET 2026 scorecard -

• Name of the candidate
• Roll number
• Category
• Obtained scores in DCET 2026
• Obtained rank in DCET

The conducting body will prepare the DCET 2026 merit list by evaluating the scores of candidates.When preparing the DCET merit list, two factors are considered for calculation-

• 50% weightage is given to marks obtained in entrance test
• 50% weightage to marks secured in final year examination of diploma course in relevant branch of Engineering (Internal assessment marks).

Based on the above criteria, scores for DCET 2026 will be evaluated. 

In case, two or more candidates have the same score and have secured the same rank, then the following guidelines will be followed (as in order) to solve the tie:

• Marks obtained in the entrance test
• Marks obtained in the 2nd year
• Marks obtained in the 1st year
• Age factor will be implemented
• A separate merit list is prepared for the following colleges:
  • Day Engineering College Courses
  • Evening Engineering College Courses (Bangalore)
  • Evening Engineering College Courses (Mysore)

After the declaration of  KEA DCET 2026 result, the authorities will conduct counselling. DCET counselling will be held in online mode only. The counselling process of DCET 2026 comprises registration, option entry, verification and seat allotment. Only students who have qualified for the exam, can participate in the counselling process. 

Diploma CET 2026 Counselling Steps

Candidates can check the process for DCET counselling below -

• Go to offiicial website and register
• Once the registration is successful, attempt choice-filling and opt for preferences based on your marks
• Based on rank obtained, the authorities will allot colleges.
• Later the seat allotment result will be uploaded on the website.
• Selected candidates then have to report to the center to verify their documents (physically at the notified centres).
• Candidates have to submit original along with one set of attested photocopies of documents.
• The required fee has to be paid by the candidates through a demand draft to confirm their admission. Failure to pay the fee within the last date will result in the disqualification of the candidates 
• Finally, the candidates will have to report to the allotted colleges.

The Karnataka Examinations Authority will release DCET cutoff (round-wise). Students who meet the cutoff mark will be eligible for the counselling.
