DCET Application Form 2026: Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) will release the DCET 2026 application form online at cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Candidates have to complete registration, form-filling, upload documents and pay the fee to apply for the exam. Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying online. The DCET registration is expected to open in the third week of April 2026. Only registered candidates will be able to appear for the DCET 2026 on May 23, 2026. Diploma holders who seek lateral entry into the second year of undergraduate engineering programmes and first year of Architecture programmes in the state have to take the DCET exam.

How to Fill DCET Application Form 2026

The mode of registration for DCET is online. Candidates can follow process mentioned below to fill application form. It must be noted that students who meet meeting eligibility can fill DCET 2026 application form. The process to apply can be checked below -

  • Visit KEA website - cetonline.karantaka.gov.in
  • Click on the "DCET 2026 application form link"
  • Register by entering all basic details, such as name, contact details, etc. to generate application number
  • Now login using credentials and fill rest details - personal, academic, and communication details.
  • Upload documents - photograph and signature along with left-hand thumb impression and parent's signature.
  • Pay fees and submit application form. 
  • Keep a copy for future reference.

Q:   What is the mode of payment for filling out the DCET application form?

The DCET application fee can be paid through e-challan. A student has to select a bank, obtain the challan and make the payment at the bank.  The application fee is Rs 650 for general and Rs 500 for reserved category applicants.

A: 

DCET exam is for Karnataka-origin students. Students who belong to the SC/ST category have to pay INR 500 for the application form. The DCET application fee has to be paid while submitting the application form. The DCET application form will not be accepted without paying the fee. To fill the DCET application form, candidates have to pay the application fee online as well as offline. Without the application fee payment, the registration will not be accepted. KEA will conduct the DCET 2026 application form correction after the conclusion of the registration process. The DCET form correction link will be activated on the official website, cetonline.karantaka.gov.in/KEA/DCET. Candidates who make any errors to the application form can use the DCET form correction facility to make any changes. Students must note that the DCET application form correction 2026 will be available for a limited tme only. Only certain fields will be open for corrections. Applicants cannot edit their name, email ID, number, etc.

What After DCET Application Process 2026?

After the DCET application form 2026 is filled out and submitted, the candidates can download the admit card. KEA release the DCET 2026 admit card on the official website. Details regarding the examination such as date, timings, allotted exam centre and more will be released through the admit card. Candidates will have to present the admit card at the DCET 2026 exam centres otherwise they will not be allowed to attempt the examination.

Q:   Can a non-Karnataka student appear for DCET?

DCET exam is only for Karnataka-origin candidates who have studied for at least 10+ years with Karnataka Technical Education Board. The authorities will ask for proof at the time of registration. When the candidate fills the DCET application form ID which is provided by the Department Of Technical Education has to be uploaded. It will be verified if the student has studied in Karnataka for at least of 10+ years.
