In India, several technological universities including the IITs offer courses in aeronautical engineering, both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. The basic eligibility criteria for BE / B.Tech programme is 10+2 Science (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) with a fairly high percentage of marks in the aggregate. Hello Shivendra, Diploma is considered as equivalent to 12th by IIT's. Hence if you can score 75% or more in Diploma then you can compete with other 12th pass students in JEE Mains & JEE Advanced & can seek admission in any IIT. But if you desire to seek admission in lateral mode then you need to follow steps given on the webpage of dte of tech edu of your state. Here you will find civil Diploma holders are eligible for which different branches of engineering.

Hello Yashu,
As a rule of thumb, lateral admissions are given to Diploma holders directly in 2nd year of engineering. Normally, there is a table that gives qualifying branches of Diploma that are eligible for different branches of engineering. Unfortunately, every state has different rules. I would therefore suggest that you check it with webpage of DTE of Tech edu of your state for detailed information.
