IIT Dhanbad JEE Advanced Cutoff was released based on the category and gender. For the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks ranged between 3846 and 15321. To get B.Tech. (Hons.) in Mechanical Engineering, the General AI category candidates must have secured a minimum cutoff rank of 9875. For the General AI female candidates, the minimum JEE Advanced rank to get Mechanical Engineering was 19099. For the OBC AI category, the cutoff rank for Mechanical closed at 7762. 

Therefore, a General AI candidate or an OBC AI candidate can secure a seat in Mechanical Engineering with the cutoff rank of 1500. However, the Cutoff rank to secure the course would depend on the category and gender as well.
