These new IIT are so new, that even the faculty also don't know the expected package. But, yes the main thing of package is on the student, if you bear good talent, then you can easily get good pack. Otherwise, a good institute also can't be able to give you such pack.

It is good, but IIT Jammu is still new. So, you can’t expect that much placements as expected from normal IITS like Delhi Roorkee etc.
