I don't think so, as studying abroad may cost you a lot, and you know IIT's are one of the best in the world, so I think you should think again about it. The placements at IIT Guwahati are great as well. The highest domestic package offered during IIT Guwahati placements 2023 was INR 1.20 crore per annum, and the highest international package stood at INR 2.40 crore per annum.

IIT Guwahati has a seat intake of 114 for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) specialisation offered under the BTech programme. This seat intake has been derived from the official website of JoSAA. Emily Carr University is a better option than IIT Guwahati, India for doing B.Tech or not can be found out by the following points:-
- Emily Carr University is highly known for its media, design, and art programs, offering a distinctive educational experience in these artistic domains. whereas, IIT Guwahati is well-known for its robust engineering and technology departments, mainly for Computer Science and Engineering.
Emily Carr University is a preferable choice for those who have a strong interest in media, design, and the arts. IIT Guwahati would be a better if the student is interested in engineering or technology.
