It's not just a college but second home.

Placements: The placement percentage based on 2024 data is around 64.% It is a decent percentage as many of the students opt for further studies and other streams other than campus placements. SDE is the top role and is more beneficial for CSE and MNC students. Other branch students can have core placements too as per their interests.

Infrastructure: There is college Wi-Fi overall campus except hostels. There is Wi-Fi in each room inside the hostels. The network quality is really good. Medical facilities are very good and are available 24 hours including ambulance facility. There are courts for every sport and well-maintained by the gymkhana.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and always open to any kind of issues. The frequency of exams is manageable. The difficulty of exam is dependent on the course instructor. Some are really strict but mostly are good. They connect real-life problems with the subject which makes students focus more.

Other: I opted for this course as I was interested in maths in my 12th grade. The college is really good and the course too. Fests and events are next level. Everyone is friendly in their own way.

Speaking about IITG, it's one of the greatest experiences that could happen to you.

Placements: 70% of students got placed. Packages offered are 1.5 crores per annum to 15 LPA. Recruiting companies are Oracle, Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Ebullient, Alphagrep, American Express, BCG, BNY, etc. 40% of students got a proper internship in one of the above companies rest get into other on-campus or off-campus internships. Top roles offered are software developer, finance market analyst, and other finance jobs, consultant, etc.

Infrastructure: All departments are equipped with Wi-Fi and air-conditioned lab except for experiential labs. Libraries are all clean, hygienic, and fully air-conditioned. Food in hostel is average but you get a lot of other options with different food outlets and canteens. Sports and TV rooms are mandatory in each hostel. Periodic sports, cultural, and tech events are very common.

Faculty: Teachers are very passionate about their course and very helpful as well, almost all of them have studied abroad or achieved in some competitive examination, thus setting the bar pretty high. Course curriculum is very relevant to the core but for non-core one might have to invest some extra time. Some courses are tough others are easy but most of them have relatively grading thus making passing easy.

Other: College can improve student life by limiting professors' power and giving more autonomy to students making courses less laborious. IITG hosts the biggest fest in Northeast India, called Alcheringa, which gets a minimum football of around 150K. You get to see the diverse rich culture of Northeast India, with a touch of modernity. The same goes with others such as Techniche and Spirit. Scholarships are widely available for backward classes and girls.

IIT Guwahati has good placements and infrastructure.

Placements: Around 90% of students in our course got places. The average salary package offered is 37 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 10 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 1 crore per annum. Top recruiting companies like Google, Microsoft, Adobe, JPMC, Goldman Sachs, Oracle, etc., visit the college for placements. Around 60% of students got internships from our batch.

Infrastructure: Our college has a top-notch infrastructure for its courses. It has excellent Wi-Fi connectivity throughout. There is high-speed internet in classrooms, labs, hostels, etc. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with smart boards, projectors, and air-conditioners. The library is well-stocked with textbooks, journals, research papers, and e-resources. Hostel rooms are furnished with basic amenities like beds, tables, chairs, wardrobes, and high-speed LAN. A mess serves with options for vegetarian and non-vegetarian food, etc.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good and approachable. The course curriculum is well-structured and a mix of theoretical knowledge and practical applications. We have two main exams which are mid-semester and end-semester exams, other than that most evaluation is done through quizzes, assignments, etc.

Modern campus with excellent infrastructure. Faculty is very good.

Placements: IIT GUWAHATI has one of the best placement ratios amongst all IITs. And amazingly, my branch is the highest percentage-wise placed in IIT Guwahati. 95 percent of students in the Mathematics and Computing branch were placed last year, while 90 percent of Computer Science students were placed.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure here are okay, not the best. For Wi-Fi, we have to use our ID and password every time, which is pretty annoying. Labs are very good, and they have all the machinery that is needed. IIT GUWAHATI has the biggest library in the Northeast.

Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. But despite that, their teaching quality is not as good as it should be. Except for some professors, others' way of teaching is pretty boring. The semester exams are not much difficult; they are according to what was taught in class.

A great hard course with great placement. Next CSE branch potential, hard to get admission.

Placements: This is relatively a new branch but has a great scope of placements and internships. In recent years, good amount of students have secured their early internships and placements from this branch. It is comparable to Computer Science engineering and foster's a potential of being the Next pumped-up sector and branch.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is really beautiful and is surely a beauty. You can roam around the campus without getting bored and still be in awe. The hostel infrastructure although might not be that great but still it is good enough to spend a great campus life with your friends .

Faculty: The curriculum is updated as it is a new branch and can foster the needs of current world in job profiles. It provides all the necessary skills for a Computer Science student is expected to have with additional benefit of algorithm designing and knowledge of finance .

Other: It's hard to get into this branch as there is tough competition during the process of admission and even the course becomes hard in further coming years, making it hard to score marks.

Pumped in my first year and eagerly waiting for the future.

Placements: This year placements are good in our branch; according to what the seniors and the pros told us, 5 members got 1CR+, and the average package is also in the range of 30 lakhs, which is pretty hefty. Mathlib, Amazon, and Google are some of the major companies recruiting on our campus .

Infrastructure: Hostels are pretty good but the food that is available in the hostel mess is not so good so most of the time I have to eat extra in the mess. The canteen food will be good and the medical facilities and sports facilities are well-mannered. We can use the resources and gain from them.

Faculty: Since I only studied in my first year, I don't know about my core subjects, but they gave me a glimpse of every one in my first year, which makes things easy. The semester exam for MS is somewhat tougher than at other non-IIT colleges. In my first year, it was relatively easy to grade, so there will be no such thing as a pass percentage .

Premium life of an IITian.

Placements: Every student at IIT Guwahati gets placed unless they want to continue their studies further, like pursuing an MBA, M.Tech, etc. The highest package offered last year was about 2 Crore, and the lowest package was about 11 Lakhs, with an average package of around 24.6 Lakhs. Our top recruiters include Rubrik, Uber, Amazon, Microsoft, Google, etc. Almost 75% of students get internships in their 3rd year. Mainly, the roles offered in my course are SDE, Analyst, Data Engineering, etc.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are awesome at IIT Guwahati, with different buildings for each department and separate labs for research work. Wi-Fi is available all around the campus. The library, Lakshminath Bezbaroa Central Library, is awesome with online portals for issuing books and research journals. All classrooms are air-conditioned and have smart boards. My hostel at IIT Guwahati has a fan, individual beds, attached washrooms, and shelves. The mess food is also nice with separate sections for veg and non-veg meals. There is also a 24/7 ambulance facility.

Faculty: Teachers are not that much helpful, but they are highly qualified from premium global institutes. The teaching quality is also good. The curriculum is relevant to make the students industry-ready, which includes industrial projects in their pre-final year. There are 2 main exams every semester - Mid-sems and End-sems - along with 3-4 quizzes. It is easier to pass the exams but difficult to get good grades.

Other: I chose MnC because it is the maximum I could get from my JEE Advanced rank. The best thing about it is the fantastic package, and the curriculum is also very interesting as it includes different subjects like Maths, DSA, computer architecture, embedded systems, etc. Our technical fest, Techniche, is a must-visit for all technical geeks, and our cultural fest, Alcheringa, is the largest fest in northeast India. The campus crowd is very vibrant with students from different states and countries. Connectivity is also good as Guwahati has a good airport.

An extraordinary college life with IITG.

Placements: Placement percentage is always more than 90% in MnC. There are records of 100% placement also in the past years. The highest package touched the margin of 80 Lacs per annum and the lowest package is something near 10 Lacs per annum. Average package is 29 Lacs. Recruiting companies includes Oracle, Goldman and sacs and other big companies. More than 80 percent of students guest internship offers. Finance and computation are the top roles in MnC.

Infrastructure: Course structure is well planned. Professors always takes care of the schedule and the syllebus. Wi-Fi is available in all the classrooms. There are many classrooms available equipped with projectors green board, AC and excellent lighting system. There is a central library to study and for finding book of your choice. Apart from the central library, there is a library in every hostel. Each Hostel have own dining hall. Hostel has stationary shops, library, common room, sports room, juice shop, canteen and manu more. Water coolers and washing machines are also placed frequently.

Faculty: Teachers were helpful and qualified. They had enormous knowledge of the topic taught in the course. But quality of teaching is not so good as in my point of view. Yes the courses are significant for making you ready. There are mid sem and end sem examinations which are held very strictly with average lavel of questions. Not too much easy or hard.

Other: This course offers to learn mathematics and computer Science together. This makes us all rounder. You can compete with others and get a respectful position in any IT firm. Many events and fests are common in IIT Guwahati. Sports fest like spirit includes more than 50000 participants. Teach fest called techniche is northeasts the largest teach fest. Alcheringa is the cultural fest with several mind blowing events.
