College is fun. Whatever you want, you will get in college. Just enjoy.

Placements: 70 percent of students from our college are placed. Many went for an MBA, research, Ph.D., and some went for government exam preparation. The average package is 18 LPA. For my branch average package is 16 LPA, and the placement percentage is about 66 percent. All the top companies that you think will be present.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities available here are quite good. You will get Wi-Fi in class room, lecture hall, labs, and library. You will have a reading room in your respective hostel, also with full AC and Wi-Fi. Hostel food is okay, not that great, and the washrooms for a few hostels are neat and clean, while for some are dirty.

Faculty: Teaching, I can't say it is fully useful as it follows the old curriculum, which is not as useful for current industry needs. But the teachers are highly qualified and have a lot of knowledge. Semester exams are a mix of easy and tough exams. Some professors are very chill, and some are so strict that they fail half of the class.

Other: This course is good. Events and festivals in our college are the best part, and you will get a lot of such activities happening every months and after a while you will get bored with all those things.

The faculty is good, the environment and campus are beautiful, and seniors are great.

Placements: I guess 50% of students are placed in my branch. 12 LPA is the highest salary in my branch, and the lowest in my branch, Bio Science and Bio Engineering, is Rs. 40,000 per month. Going for a Master's in Biochemistry, Bio Sciences, and Bio Engineering is considered a good option in my branch.

Infrastructure: There is a specific building for each course and department on our campus. Wi-Fi is available in all buildings, including academic buildings, libraries, canteens, and the mess. The hostel culture is great, and seniors are very welcoming and supportive. A common hospital is present on our campus for all people.

Faculty: Most teachers are helpful, very qualified in their specialties, and knowledgeable in every aspect. There is a slight language barrier between teachers, professors, and faculty members due to different accents. The course curriculum is very relevant, and all data is shared at the start of the tenure.

I am really enjoying life here and it is definitely worth it all.

Placements: 69% of students got placed in my course and many students went abroad for research as Biosciences has a good scope in research too. The highest package is 52 LPA and the lowest package is 6 LPA. The average package offered is 16.34 LPA. Bioengineering, biotechnology, medical devices, and diagnostics are the 3 main specialisations in which students get placed in the core sector.

Infrastructure: Labs for biotechnology are highly developed and maintained. Research is highly encouraged and interested students can work under-educated professors to help themself go forward with their particular interests in research. Medical facilities are quite good as it is basically free for the students of IIT Guwahati up to 1 lakh. There are indoor sports in almost all the hostels. For outdoor sports, there are well-maintained courts for badminton, lawn tennis, cricket, squash, basketball, volleyball, etc. There is a swimming pool too for the swimmers.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and are well aware of the courses they are teaching. Professors are highly qualified. Those people have written books about their subjects so their knowledge cannot be questioned. The courses contain more theory courses in the 2nd year and practical knowledge oriented in the 3rd year. So it makes students industry-ready. Exams are not tough or easy.

Other: IIT Guwahati has one of the most beautiful campuses among other institutes of India. Lakes, the greenery, and the sunsets will just make us fall in love with it. Fests are just crazy. We will get to meet new people and the exposure we get on the campus is good. Students as individuals learn new things apart from their studies. Seniors are very helpful and supportive. If students feel the fee is too much for their family to afford, then students with low annual incomes get a fee waiver from the college.

Most beautiful campus in India with great placements and facilities.

Placements: Around 69% of students got placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is 51.03 LPA, the average is 16.34 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 6 LPA. As far as the biotech core is concerned, there are recruiting pharma companies like Piramal Healthcare, etc. but for students of the BSBE field pursuing SDE, there are big recruiters like Adobe, Oracle, BNY, etc.

Infrastructure: College offers 24/7 air-conditioned classrooms, students can access labs and classrooms to study at any time. We have a big central library spread across 3 floors and a ground floor and 24/7 open during exams. All course books are available and apart from that novels, magazines are available. We can request books as well as we can issue them. Hostels are also in good condition except few. There are 14 hostels, 2 for girls, 1 shared for both girls and boys, and the rest are all for boys. We have libraries in the hostel. Facilities like a gym, sports room, music room, TV room and canteen are available. We have an IITG hospital with a 24/7 ambulance facility.

Faculty: Teachers are very knowledgeable, but some don't teach well, while some are excellent at teaching. The course curriculum has AI and ML in the 3rd year as a part of Biotechnology. It is one the easiest courses in IIT Guwahati and can be done 1 week before end-semester.

Other: I chose this course because of IIT, and the best thing about the course is we get a lot of free time to work on ourselves and upskill ourselves. In the 5th semester, we have a hectic schedule, which I want to change because already we have internship season. However, the rest of the course is great. Fests like Alcheringa, Techniche, Spirit, Prayatna, Spic Macay, etc., are conducted on campus and have almost 7000+ students from all Ph.D., M.Tech, B.Teach, and M.A. Campus connectivity is a bit weak we have to cross the river to go to the city while surrounding is pollutionless. We have scholarships available for department toppers as well as students with good grades. If the family income is below 8 LPA then students are eligible for scholarships. We have a new SAC which is the hub of all technical and cultural clubs like robotics, movies, etc. Large sports ground is also available.

Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed in our college. The highest salary package offered is 40 LPA. The salary package offered is 2 CPA. Top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Amazon, etc. Our college provides internship opportunities to all students. Every student is offered an internship, and it is their choice to participate.

Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all the facilities. Our academic complex houses multiple course departments. Our college has 4 labs. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled, known as IITG CONNECT. There are a total of 14 hostels on campus, catering to B.Tech, B.Des, and PG students, as well as married scholars. Each hostel has its canteen and LAN ports in the rooms. The food served in the hostel is good. They provide medical facilities. The hospital is located on campus. Our campus has sports grounds and various other amenities.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They are always available to clear any doubts or issues you may encounter. They cover all aspects of your course, from theory to practical applications, which prepares students for the workforce. Passing semesters is not difficult if you consistently keep up with your studies. Students should score a 5 CGPA to pass the exams.

Other: I opted for this course because of my interest in the research field. They are working for an IT company. The best part about the course is that you can work under your seniors and professors in the field. There are many events and fests held across the year. The cultural fest is Alcheringa and the technical fest is Techniche. Many sports events are held like inter IIT and hostel competitions. It is the most beautiful campus in India. You can join many other activities which are organised by the student activity club.

Infrastructure: Good Wi-Fi facility is poor in hostels but good in academic sections Food is good in our hostel only Canteen's food is oily and not good for our health so we take only fruits from there Medical facility is excellent And sports and games have really more priority in our college as space problem is not there and campus is very beautiful .

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful Yes it is relevant Yes it is very difficult as the IIT curriculum is better than other colleges IIT infra is far better than any NIT or other colleges We did lot of efforts to get a seat in IIT Here your life is not set u have to still study Thatsy struggle is not for any time period it is for whole lifetime .

Other: Because in councelling I am getting this course only in this prestigious institution Nothing Events are really good Scholarship have also some criteria to get it Extracurricular activities are nice as there is always an event per day in our college and we cant able to attend it .

IIT Guwahati Honest Review.

Placements: About 80-85 percent of students got placed in my college with average package of 23.84 Lacs per annum but for my course bio-technology its about 18 Lacs and minimum would be 5 LPA and the highest is 40+LPA. Almost all the students will get internship but without stipend. Top recruiting companies are Big MNCs like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe and also some companies like cleartax offers you good job with 12+ LPA just beacuse of your degree and IIT tag. Almost all the students passed out from here works in corporates.

Infrastructure: In classroom there is 8 ACs in every class and a projector but no Wi-Fi but you will get it in Labs, Library. Departmental building are pretty cool except for the old ones but they are also renovated. In the hostel there is one B.Ed table, chair anc a fan available. Mess is really very impressive and also pocketfriendly as compared to other colleges. In the mess we have option for eggs and chicken some day and the veg food. Milk is also available which is too included in diet no extra Medical facilites are also there is small hospital under its campus which is fully covered under IIT insurance card. Talking about Sports there is synthetic ground for Basketball, Tennis and a track and field, Almost a small stadium is there which is spread over 100 acres.

Faculty: Teachers are all helpful and highly qualified, they have completed their Ph.D. either from a IIT itself or abroad. But teaching method is just like other colleges yes Curriculum is relevant, it is for making us industry ready and give its exposure Semester exams are not difficult to pass but very hectic cause there is no holiday inbetween the final exams and also there is mathematics department which is very strict, they can even fail half of the class, so be prepare for Maths from the beginning.

Other: I was getting this course only in IIT Guwahati and I also had option for other IITs but I chose this one just because of its placements and campus life. There is nothing to be improved in my course coz there is lot of free time I can do whatever I want in this free time and very less stressful. There are lot of events happening in a semester like cultural fest, fresher party, one of them is Alcheringa, I am too an organizer in it. This is the biggest fest of north east in which outsider are also allowed and celebrities are called to perform.

Placements: Placements in BSBE are good. Almost 85% of students are placed, and the remaining opt for higher studies or other exams. The average salary package offered is 16.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, Google, Adobe, and Goldman Sachs. Many job profiles are different like IT or software, finance, and analyst. Overall, placements are good at IIT Guwahati.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious with air-conditioners. Laboratories are well-maintained with very specialised equipment. Wi-Fi speed is very good. Library has a huge collection of books, and a good space to sit and read. Hospital is also available in this college.

Faculty: Our faculty members are highly qualified and knowledgeable. In our course curriculum, some subjects are old and not used much in industries. Nearly all others are going to make students industry ready. If students study regularly, then exams are not difficult to pass. The pass percentage is 95-97%.

Other: BSBE is a good course, and it is interesting. This course has great scope, and it will increase in the future. Events are the main thing on campus besides studies. They teach students properly, and students will enjoy in the process.
