Admission to IIT Indore is based on the national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main and JEE Advanced. To get admission for the BTech course, candidates must:

• pass Class 12 with a minimum of 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics 
• secure a rank in JEE Main exam within the top 2,50,000 students
• appear for JEE Advanced with the required rank
• lastly, after appearing for the entrance exams, students are eligible to appear for the counselling process.

At IIT Indore, students can study Engineering & Science courses in various specialisations. The specialisations include BTech in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, & MS (Research) in History, English, Psychology, Philosophy & Economics. The total tuition fee for the MS course at IITI is around INR 28K. Other fee components such as application fee, hostel fee & examination fee are excluded from the total tuition fee of a specific course.

As per the latest report, 89.76% of the BTech batch 2023 and 65.38% of the M.Tech batch 2023 were placed in the reputed companies during IIT Indore placements 2023. Currently, the institute has six hostels out of which one is for female students and the other for married students. The hostel life is vibrant with 574 rooms each in 6 hostels. IITI also provides extracurricular activities with various clubs, fests, events and competitions. 

IIT Indore has various extracurricular activities & clubs available for students, including Technical Clubs & Cultural clubs. These clubs offer competitions, workshops, & events to allow students to participate. Other clubs include, Literary Club, Quiz Club, ConCreate Club, Entrepreneur Cell and department specific clubs. There are non-technical clubs as well, offering happening life to the students of IIT Indore. IIT Indore gives sports facilities like badminton, basketball, football, swimming, cricket,table tennis.

No, candidates cannot join IIT Indore without taking an entrance exam. Admission to UG/PG courses at IIT Indore is based on national level entrance exams such as JEE MAIN, JEE Advanced, GATE. For BTech, admission is based on JEE Main and JEE Advanced, followed by counselling process. The minimum eligibility for admission at IITI is passing Class 12 with at least 75% aggregate marks.

IIT Indore offers a variety of UG, PG and PhD courses in the streams of Engineering and Science. UG courses are offered across various specialisations including BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc. The total tuition fees for the BTech courses is around INR 8 Lacs.

IIT Indore MSc cutoff 2024 was concluded basaed on IIT JAM scores (ranks). As per the last round cutoff, the ranks required for the General AI candiates ranged between 82 and 654. IIT Indore JEE Advanced Cutoff 2024 was concluded after the last round of cutoff. The cutoff was ranks for the General All India category candidates was ranged between 1389 and 10894. The closing cutoff rank for BTech (Hons) CSE was 1389 in 2024, 1385 in 2023 and 1204 in 2022; which shows that the cutoff witnessed a declining trend for the course.
